How much protein you need to consume in a day varies based on oneโ€™s health and levels of physical activity. It is recommended to eat approximately 0.36 grams of protein per pound of body weight per day (which is about 54 grams per day for a 150 lbs sedentary person). If you are more physically active then you may need more for optimum performance and recovery.
