Field Day is Wednesday, June 15th, and we are so excited! To make Field Day run as smoothly as possible, we need lots of volunteers and support from Harbor Heights Families!

Join your friends and family to run, walk and roll around the Goodman Middle School track and earn your HARBOR HIKERS charms on TODAY, May 13th at 5pm. Harbor Heights Orcas will receive their Harbor Hikers punch card and necklace, including an exclusive first foot charm not available after the run! There will also be a raffle fundraiser for Mr. Rucci’s PE program with some great prizes. Be sure to RSVP to our Facebook event! We hope to see you all there!

We are looking for board members for the 2022-2023 school year! Please consider joining the VPO board or nominating a friend.

If we aren't able to fill our open positions, then we will be forced to dissolve the VPO!

Did you know that the VPO is responsible for bringing all the events you know and love to the school, such as Harbor Hikers, Field Day, Fall and Spring Events, and upgrades to the Library, playground, and track? We also provide support to the staff during conferences, Teacher Appreciation Week, Staff Room Restock, and Staff Wishlists. No VPO means less school events, so please spread the word that we need board members.

Nominations need to be in before our General VPO Meeting on Tuesday, May 10th and 6pm in the Harbor Heights Commons.

We are still looking for someone to fill our Treasurer position!

Harbor Heights was fortunate to have 5 staff members and commissioned officers from the Public Health Service Commission come to campus and speak with our grade K-2 students during STEM class about the importance of good hand hygiene. Hand washing is an essential part of good health and public wellness.

Our guests also discussed careers in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

🍪 Crumbl Takeover to support year-end activities for our 5th graders!

Join us on TONIGHT from 4pm to 7pm as Harbor Heights takes over Crumbl Cookies Gig Harbor! 20% of ALL sales (gift cards excluded) made during these 3 hours will go towards the 5th grade end of year celebration. If you can't make it to Crumbl Cookies during those hours, be sure to order online or through the app between 4-7 and schedule a pickup for later in the week. We still get credit for your order! Our VPO has done amazing work to support our Orcas this year! There are a few year-end details to finalize at this General Meeting.

Please support by attending and participating in this meeting.

Please join us for a Special General VPO meeting on April 25th at 6:00pm via Zoom to review and approve additional funds for the Spring Event. This meeting is being held to vote on a budget amendment only and is time sensitive due to the date of the event. It should not take longer than 10 or 15 minutes depending on the discussion around the item. We need at least 10 people to attend so please consider joining.

Harbor Heights, a school in the Peninsula School District, has an “Electronic Resources” policy and procedure that defines acceptable and unacceptable use of the district’s electronic, computer and network resources. Procedure 2022P states that “Online communication is critical to our students’ learning of 21st Century Skills and Internet Tools such as blogs, wikis, social networks, podcasts, email, new media or other Internet tools offer an authentic, real-world vehicle for student expression.”

The regulation also states that the: “District holds those using these web tools to the same acceptable use, terms of agreement, standards and expectations and must follow all established Internet Safety guidelines.” Also, “the District reserves the right to monitor appropriate behavior and adherence to instructional guidelines. Anything deemed to be inappropriate will be subject to deletion.”
