We are pleased to formally announce Kristi Kraft has been named our new President and CEO! Unanimously decided by the Board of Directors, she is the perfect fit at the right time as we move forward into a future that looks renewed and bright! We have golf tournaments planned, 3 galas statewide this Fall, and Regional Summer Games happening throughout the state in May.
As many of you know, Kristi has over 25 years of experience with the Special Olympics movement. Starting in 1994 as a volunteer, and later, coordinating the 4 Rivers team from 2000-2019. For the last two years she has served in the role of Director of Special Events/Law Enforcement Torch Run Liaison. After the announcement Kristi said “I am honored, the athletes we serve deserve this Program to be the best it can be.” We are also the ones honored, to have Kristi lead the charge, her passion for our success is unparalleled. Please join in congratulating Kristi and now more than ever, your support and patience is so valuable as we move upward and onward.
THANK YOU LETR for your ongoing support!

Special Olympics Idaho

Since Special Olympics Idaho’s State Summer Games were cancelled this year, law enforcement throughout all of Idaho and Eastern Oregon stepped up to show support for Special Olympics athletes and programs by raising awareness. The Law Enforcement 2020 Torch Run Tour saw agencies statewide and into Eastern Oregon create videos and take pictures with the “Flame of Hope”, in a fun, creative campaign to show support. On Thursday, October 22nd the campaign concluded with a Torch Run celebration at the Statehouse steps where Governor Brad Little spoke in support of our message of “inclusion for all”. Thank you ALL for your support and amazing efforts to create awareness for those with intellectual disabilities. Next year's Torch Run will be AMAZING and we can not wait! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH AGAIN!
