We are heartbroken by the news out of Las Vegas this morning and saddened by such a violent dismissal of the dignity of life. Remember that if you feel called to spend some time with our Lord in prayer today (or any day), our Perpetual Adoration Chapel (located in the undercroft of the church) is open to non-scheduled adorers whenever the church is open.
Our Youth Choir is getting ready to start a new year! The choir is open to all children (both boys and girls!) of the parish, including St. Matthew School and PSR, 2nd grade and older. Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays, 6:00-6:45 pm in the choir loft, and our first rehearsal will be Tuesday, October 3.
The choir sings at scheduled weekend Masses from October through April, as well as special Masses or liturgies like Christmas Eve and Good Friday. Please encourage your children to come share their talents!
[09/10/17] CLASSES START TONIGHT! Parents and students need to arrive by 6pm. Can't wait to kickoff this year. 😁
Please register your family for PSR before classes begin on September 10th. Registrations can be done by paper (forms in the Gathering Space of the church) or online at http://www.stmatthew.net/parish-school-of-religion-registrations. We can't wait to have another great year where families grow in knowledge of and relationship with Jesus Christ & His Church! :)
stmatthew.net We have designed the form so that you will fill out one form per student, but only need to enter the family information for the first child.

Correction of an earlier post: Fr. Cromly's talks will be aired on St. Gabriel NEXT Monday and Tuesday (March 27 and 28) at 4 pm, instead of this week, so that our parish has more time to get the word out. Once they air, they will be available in the Archives section of the St. Gabriel website, under Special Features. We hope you enjoy them!

Here is our Lenten Mission speaker! The entire parish is invited Monday, March 13 and Tuesday, March 14 at 7pm. Confirmation students and parents get their own night with Fr. Nathan the night before! :)
Does the start of Lent always catch you off guard like it does me? (Psst... It starts March 1!) Please mark your calendars now for our parish mission/Lenten reflection, which will be Monday, March 13 and Tuesday, March 14 at 7:00pm. Father Nathan Cromly, the founder of the St. John Institute and Eagle Eye Ministries (and a presenter at 2016’s Women’s Conference) will walk us through a Lenten Reflection to bring us hope and conversion. Save these dates!
Here’s a clip of Father Nathan explaining Marian Consecration. We hope you enjoy it and hope to see you March 13 and 14.
Remember that parents are the primary religious educators of their children! Be sure to plan something this weekend for your at home lesson that puts you in charge of teaching the faith and teaching how to live as a Catholic 24/7. :) Here's a good reminder: http://intentionalcatholicparenting.com/the-7-building-blocks-to-a-joyful-catholic-home/
