For those who attended today's first CAVA Java and PTO General Meeting, thank you very much for attending, showing your support, and being willing to get involved.

What a great time the teachers, returning families, and new families had at Back to School Park Day on 8/12 yesterday! It was great connecting and reconnecting. :)
Some dates to remember (you're most likely already in the know, but just posting here)... Tuesday, 8/20 is Community Day Orientation Day at 10:00 am- 12:00 pm
Tuesday, 8/27 is Community Day from 9:00 am- 12:30 pm

It's the first official day of CAVA! Are you ready to begin this exciting new school year? Time to get on the OLS (if you haven't already done so or when you can)... Meet & greet your CAVA CD teacher today at Park Day, if that's on your schedule... For those that are going, I (Audrey) look forward to seeing you there! :)

Sandy ~ I know this is a little last minute but I'm taking my kids to see this today. I saw it on one of the Yahoo groups last night. USS Sampson is in Seal Beach and will be giving FREE tours today between 10 - 1:30pm

Allison~ I was wondering if any of the middle schoolers and high schoolers would be interested in hang out days at Starbucks or the beach or Disneyland or the movies or wherever? I would like to do something to get the families/kids together more this year. This would be non PTO related and non CAVA sponsored, just a bunch of families or kids hanging out. :)

Jc Penny hair salon is offering free haircuts the month of August for kids grades K - 6. You will need to make appointment though as they are really busy.

This is a school-wide event. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch and relax with other CAVA families.
