The idea of beauty and the beauty of the idea.
Brandon Roy artist and engineer invited me a few months ago to Figurative Art Convention & Expo (FACE) in Miami, then I thought: this guy is great, he studied at the Academy of Art in Florence, has been director of the California Sculpture Academy For five years, he just came back from Mongolia where he set up a sculpture metal foundry for the monges in just two months, now he moving forward in his own career creating his own titanium bronze and glass sculpture with equipment design by himself! The Emerging of a gigant ! "Then this FACE thing in Miami must be good." And, I went, turned out to be an extraordinary experience, thank you Brandon.
Life is the truth of the peculiarities that makes it personal and also relevant.
The internal battles are those which are fought first, then comes the authenticity at greater risk then the artist is demanded beyond its comfort is something deeply painful and at the same time culturally relevant.
Everything is a great tool you need years of practice to achieve a complete work.
The trip to the art convention in Miami put me in the heart, the beat of representative art of current great artists and teachers from different parts of the world their experiences and their tremendous honesty helps me realize that I have everything I need to do what I want And in the process of being against the fear of being me, making brilliant, irresistible work that is topical and genuine beyond borders until it reaches the unknown.

The Plein Air Convention
Last week the community represented the NSS at the Plein Air Convention. Over 1000 artists gathered to create art. Our mission was to promote the craft of sculpture.

We have an Iron Pour happening this afternoon at the California Sculpture Academy at 300 E Alvarado St in downtown Fallbrook. It runs from 4:30 - 9pm but the most action will start around 5:30. Its an amazing event to watch and great to bring the family to. It is free to attend. We are also raising money for a local film group making a documentary about sculptors in SoCal so any donations to their cause would be appreciated.
