Students interested in learning more about opportunities are encouraged to attend this open session which will held in Founders Hall, Room 113 (please note this room may change, we’ll set a follow up if we move to a different room.)
Please join us for an overview of Gartner, Inc. and more importantly Gartner’s Consulting organization – come find out why the Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and The Financial Times quote Gartner an average of 70 times per week and why 74% of the Global 500 companies support their key technology decisions with Gartner advice. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the organization to see if it’s the right fit for you, while meeting current employees (and interviewers!) that can give you the inside scoop on exactly what it’s like to be a Gartner Consultant. Bring your questions, as there will be plenty of time for questions-and-answers.
To review their recruiting process, Gartner will be conducting interviews on campus on Thursday, October 26 beginning at 9am. Interviews will be 1 hour in length. Students who wish to apply through this on campus process should attend the open session on Sept. 26, then send resumes and cover letters to Kerry Willigan, ([email protected]) by Wednesday, October 18th; Kerry will then batch and forward to the Gartner recruiting team for review. They will select students to be interviewed on October 27 and we will let selected candidates know by Thursday, October 23. Please note that all candidates must be U.S. Citizens. Please email Kerry Willigan if you will be attending the presentation on September 26 via email ([email protected]) We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday.

CALL FOR BLOG SUBMISSIONS
I just spoke with Dr. Grady, who's our Director of MBA/MSM Graduate Programs, and she has a request for all of you. She said she recently spoke with Jennifer Anzaldi, who runs the School of Business Blog. Ms. Anzaldi told her she's having trouble finding content for the blog.
Dr. Grady thought it would be great to publish some of our short papers (e.g., our weekly papers from OB, or maybe a shortened business case from IT). She wants 400 words max, so you might have to condense what is already a short paper, but if you have anything you're particularly proud of (that also got a good grade, of course), send them to her at: [email protected]. She'll review them and send them on to Jennifer. She mentioned that if they publish your piece, you can add that to your CV.
