Tonight, the Robinson Rifle Team was defeated by the WT Woodson Cavaliers 1156 to 1129 in our second Potomac High School Rifle League match of the year. Our top three shooters were Jackson W 285-16x(center shots), Emory B 285-14x, and Sienna W 283-15x. Our next match is next Wednesday (12 Jan) against local rival Lake Braddock.

Tonight, the Robinson Rifle Team defeated the Washington-Liberty Generals 1147 to 1022 in our first Potomac High School Rifle League match of the year. Our top three shooters were Emory B 291-15x(center shots), Cassidy R 289-16x, and Samuel N 285-12x.

On Saturday, we had 8 of the veterans travel to King George, VA for the annual King George Invitational. Overall, the team had a great day with the Gold Team placing first with a score of 2161-54x. The blue team scored a 1913-20x. Our top 3 shooters on the day were Emory B 549-19x, Sam N 540–8x, and Cassidy R 539-14x.

Three-Position Air Rifle shooting is the most popular junior rifle program in the USA, with a base of 250,000 to 300,000 participating American youth. To stay current, the Three-Position Rulebooks are reviewed and updated bi-annually.

The Robinson Rifle Team closed out its Potomac High School Rifle League season with a victory against Yorktown High School 1138- to 1082. The team finishes the match season with 5 wins and 2 losses. Our top 3 shooters today were Grant B 293-19x, Alex M 287-14x, and Will W 285-15x.
On Wednesday, The Robinson Rams were victorious against the Mavericks 1143-58x to 1032-23x bringing our record up to 4 wins and 2 losses on the season. Our top 3 shooters were Grant B 294-24x, Thomas M 290-16x and Alex M 283-12x. We will conclude our PHSRL season on Saturday against Yorktown High School.
On Saturday the team lost to the league leading Lake Braddock Bruins 1175-79x to 1149-54x. The loss brings the team to 3 wins and 2 losses on the season with 2 matches remaining. Our top shooters were Grant B 296-18x, Alex M 287-14x and Thomas M 285-11x.

It’s time again for high school senior athletes to apply for CMP’s Scholarship Program! Each year, the CMP awards $1,000 scholarships to those well-rounded marksmanship athletes who not only display excellence within the sport but also scholastically and throughout their communities. The one-year scholarships may be used to fund any accredited secondary education, vocational or a post-secondary program during the upcoming school year.
Additionally, a $5,000 Carolyn Hines Memorial Scholarship is also awarded to the student deemed the top applicant by the CMP Scholarship committee! The top 15 scholarship recipients will also receive an additional $2,000 from the Garand Collector’s Association.

On Saturday the team won a hard fought match against the Centreville HS Wildcats 1132-53x to 1085-38x. Our top shooters were Grant B 295-24x, Thomas M 286-12x and Alex M 285-11x. The team is now 3-0 in PHSRL action. Our next match is on Wednesday against Woodson High School.
On Wednesday, the Robinson Rams out shot the West Springfield Spartans 1138(55x) to 1124(42x). Our top 3 shooters were Grant B 297(20), Alex M 283(14x), and Thomas M 283(11x). Our next high school league match will be on 26 Jan against our rivals - Woodson High School.

In our first match of the '21-'22 Potomac High School Rifle League Match the Robinson Rams defeated the West Potomac Wolverines 1131(50x) to 1057(25x). Our top shooters were Grant B 294(20x), Thomas M 293(17x) and Alex M 283 (8x). Our next PHSRL match will be 5 Jan against Yorktown High School.
Last week we completed our last two Orion league matches. We finished up the make up the match against Lafayette Gun Club. In the Lafayette match we lost 1586.8 to 1637.5. Our top shooters were Grant B 406.2, Thomas M 402.4, and Will W 389.7. In this weeks scheduled match against Atrisco Heritage Academy MCJROTC, we shot a 1585.8 to get the win. Out top three shooters were Grant B 409.6, Alex M 400.4 and Thomas M with a 399.0. We will finish the season with 3 wins and 4 losses. It was a great season against some tough opponents, we look forward to our next challenges and preparing for next year.
Last week participated in our fourth Orion League match of the year. We defeated C. T. Johnson High School AJROTC (San Antonio, TX) 1578.9 to 1545.4 to bring our record to 2 wins and 2 losses. Our top 3 shooters were Grant B (399.1), Alex M (398.7) and Thomas M (396.6). This week we shoot against La Cueva MCJROTC from Albuquerque, NM.
Last week participated in our third Orion League match of the year. We were defeated by Sutter Union High School (CA) 1600.0 to 1578.9. Our record for the year is 1 win and 2 losses. Our top 3 shooters were Grant B (407.7), Alex M (397.9) and Thomas M (396.4). This week we shoot against C. T. Johnson High School AJROTC from San Antonio, TX.

It is with great sadness that I report the passing of Coach Bob Hardy. Coach Hardy was the heart and soul of the Robinson Rifle Team for many, many years. He was a great coach, extraordinary mentor and ambassador of the sport. There is no replacement for this incredible gentleman. He will be profoundly missed.

Time is running out! The Civilian Marksmanship Program will continue to accept applications from student-athletes for the annual CMP Carolyn Hines Memorial $1,000 to $5,000 scholarships for the 2021-2022 school year until March 20, 2021. The scholarships are open to high school seniors who display involvement in a mix of academics, extra-curricular and marksmanship activities.

After last week’s weather delay, the Potomac High School Rifle League regional match was held on Saturday. The team finished third with a 2289, trailing Lake Braddock by 4 points and League Champions Woodson by 11 points. Our top shooters were Isaac V 575-27x, Grant B 573-30x, and Kyra M 573-24x. We had a strong finish, but now we have to look toward next year. Now that we have completed the High School season we will return to club activities.
Yesterday, the PSHRL held its final match of the year for individuals in need of an additional match to qualify for league honors or regionals qualification. Our top shooters were Alex M (382-18x), Jackson T (375-14x), and Lexi W (367-13x). Following the match the league announced its All Metro teams. Congratulations to Grant B, Payton P, and Isaac V for making the All Metro Second Team and Thomas M, Devin P, Alex M, Jackson T, Lexi W, Kyra M, Eric P, William W, and Genevieve H for earning All Metro Honorable Mentions.
Our top 4 team, Grant B, Payton P, Isaac V and Thomas M will compete in the PHSRL Regional Match next weekend. Additionally, Devin P, Lexi W, Alex M, Jackson T, Kyra M, Genevieve H, William W, Jeffrey B, and Ian O were selected to participate in the PSHRL Regional Match as Individuals.
