Maya's Journey from Mason to Deloitte!👩‍💼 French 🇫🇷 alumna Maya shares how her exposure to internships and career fairs at George Mason helped her land a job offer from Deloitte a whole year before graduation! She also gives a special shoutout to her mentor, Business school professor Kelly Wentland, who provided invaluable support throughout her journey. 🌟

“I received the offer from the Deloitte when I was visiting the IRS, a year prior to graduation, it took out all the stress.

The Career Services were very helpful. They prepare you for interviews. By going to career fairs on campus, I learned what the job requirements are. The people I talked to were professionals, they are always willing to give you advice.

Business school professor Kelly Westland has been a mentor for me. She would write as many recommendation letters she can, introducing me to opportunities and people in the field. She even won an award for supporting her students’ career.”

Meet Saba, an inspiring Iranian🇮🇷 student who overcame the challenges of obtaining a U.S. visa to pursue her dreams at Mason! 🌟 With support from the INTO PASS (Pre Arrival Student Services) program , she navigated the visa process and is now thriving in her college life, building an independent life and seizing new opportunities. 🙌

“I think one of the reasons I got a US visa was because of the PASS program. As an Iranian student it is super difficult to come to the US. After I got the visa I was so happy.”

Saba secured an on-campus job shortly after she started school at George Mason and got into Honors College via the help of INTO Mason professors and Success Coach.

Meet Sofia, a 2024 Forensic Science graduate from Panama 🇵🇦 ! During her time at George Mason, she was an active leader in the Latin Student Association and Hispanic Latine Leadership Alliance.

“It’s one thing to learn about other countries on paper, but it’s another one very different to hear from people that have lived there.” That’s what George Mason offers, being ranked #8 Most Diverse University in the U.S., according to US News and World Report.

“My favorite experience was being part of the Adrenalina dance team. I made a lot of friends there, I found my community and was able to enjoy myself a lot. It made my experience a lot more fulfilling, and it made it easier to be in a foreign country."

Exciting night at the Mason Men’s Soccer game! 🏟️⚽ INTO Mason students were out in full force to cheer on our team as they secured a 1-0 win! 🎉 Special shoutout to Martim and Leo, two INTO Mason students improving their English skills and thriving on the field. Our students got to enjoy some free chicken sandwiches 🍔 and meet the team after the game. A great way to experience campus life and support our athletes!
