We want to tell the story of God's love in our lives in all we do. We gather to tell this story specifically at 8:30 and 11:00 every Sunday, but we also tell God's story throughout our preschool, and in all of our life doings. The Vision for Living Savior is that we will use all our resources of people, ministries, and money to concentrate on reaching the unchurched of the community with the Good

Thanksgiving Baskets for Artemis / Shelter House - YOUR HELP NEEDED
First -
We are again asked to help those in need during the Thanksgiving holiday. Domestic Violence Shelters at Artemis House/NOVACO has 109 families (it was 70 last year) in need of basic food. Your help is very much needed to meet this need, to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Please pick up a tag (or 10) from the table in the narthex. We are collecting non-perishables - cans of green beans, yams, cranberries, stuffing mix, rice and beans. We especially need $25 Grocery Gift cards for each basket to purchase the perishable item.
Please return the items no later than November 19th.
Second -
We are looking for volunteers on Sunday, November 19th to help sort and package the food bundles for the families. You can volunteer in between morning services, during the 11am services or after 4pm to deliver the food bundles. For those who are interested in delivering, there is a process we need to do in advance to clear you to get the location of the shelters (for the security of the families there).
Any questions or to volunteer, please contact Bob and Cathi Willuweit.
Reminder - the CROP Walk is tomorrow! There is still time to donate or register to walk. See the post below for more information.

The LCMS is collecting funds to assist Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Kahului, Maui. This church maintained a preaching station in Lahaina that was destroyed and has member families that we directly affected. They are also trying to assist those who have lost everything in the recent fire. Please consider donating to this disaster relief fund. Living Savior will be collecting funds for the next three weeks. Please contribute with a check earmarked for “Maui Relief.” Thank you.
Unfortunately, our new Vicar Stephen had some car trouble that is delaying his arrival to Living Savior Lutheran Church until late Sunday, July 30th. Since our Hail / Farewell is mostly aimed at the farewell and thanks to our current Vicar Luke, we are continuing with the Pot Luck on Saturday as planned.

Dear Brothers and Sisters of Living Savior:
Living Savior is continuing its efforts to support our neighbors in need. We have started our annual Back to School supplies drive. The date for returning supplies to the church is Sunday, August 13th. We are hoping to provide enough backpacks and supplies for 50 children.
This year we are focusing on supporting the Concordia Lutheran Church congregation in Triangle, VA. We have been delivering your food pantry and clothing donations to Concordia and they need backpacks and school supplies for the students supported by the food pantry. Please donate a backpack or 2. It can be for a boy, girl or teen. Just bring it to the church by August 13th. We will have a special box for Concordia donations.
In addition to backpacks, the children need
markers
glue sticks
scissors (multiple age appropriate styles)
rulers
single subject spiral notebooks
composition notebooks
crayons
colored pencils
pencils
“click” ballpoint pens
Pocket folders
And just in case you missed it above: backpacks!
Please visit the Sign-Up link at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090A48A5A62B0-backpacks and record your choice of donations or sign up at the table in the church Narthex.
Thank you again for your generosity.
