The American Indian Center would like to highlight our Native staff here at Northern. They are the mechanics of the institute and each month a new staff member will be in the spotlight. This Month Our appreciation goes to Toni Atencio.!

Ms. Atencio is the Assistant to the Dean of Arts and Sciences and has been working there since 2012 making it three years of much appreciated work. Her primary duty is maintaining the Arts and Sciences dept. and making sure everything is in order. Out of those three years Toni says, "Working with the students and staff is the best part of coming to work!" Toni is an Ohkay Owingeh native and is always more than happy to help any student with a question problem. Her office is located in the G.E building and anyone is welcome to drop by. Her advice to students would be, "Pursue all of your goals to the fullest! Take every opportunity that comes your way and never quit!" Thank you Toni, for your hard work!
