What is the "Teaching French Fast Track" initiative? Webinar, Feb. 3 at 6pm ET. The French Embassy in the United States with its partners ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) and AATF (American Association of Teachers of French) is excited to announce that applications are now open for the Spring 2025 cohort of the French Teaching Fast Track program (formerly known as Multi-State Pathways to Teaching French).
This opportunity is designed for advanced, native, and heritage French speakers interested in pursuing a teaching career in the United States. We would appreciate it if you could share this opportunity with your associations, networks, and communities.

Why French Teachers Matter:
The need for French teachers in American schools has never been greater. Currently, 47 U.S. states and the District of Columbia report critical shortages of foreign language teachers. With 1.3 million French speakers in the United States, we believe many talented individuals could fill these positions with the right support and guidance.

70-hour comprehensive online curriculum tailored for working professionals and career changers
Three-phase training designed for fluent French speakers nationwide
Personalized Learning Plan for obtaining your teaching license
Up to three university credits toward an approved teacher preparation program
Mentorship opportunities and network development

Application: From January 1st to February 16th, 2025
Information Webinar: February 3rd at 6PM EST
Program: April to December 2025. AATF mentorship in 2026.
Eligibility Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent)
U.S. work authorization
French language fluency
English language proficiency
Cost:
Classes are FREE
$150 registration fee (covers required books and one-year AATF membership)
