What an incredible event celebrating the book launch of “Mujeres Indomables” by Las Malcriadas Fronterizas de Border Workers United. "Mujeres Indomables" is a fitting title because these impressive woman authors are the living example of incredible fortitude, grace, and empowerment. In each page of this literary masterpiece the authors share their lived experiences as domestic workers bringing to light injustices, hardships, and the sacrifices that domestic workers face in that line of work.

Muchas felicidades a las Autoras en este impresionante logro y gracias por compartir sus experiencias!

A commemoration of the dead

With more than 150 generations commemorating “El Dia de los Mu***os,” the Center for Mexican American Studies joined in the celebration by placing an altar in the Edinburg campus library.

A Mexican American Studies club, LUCHA, which stands for “La Unión Chicanx Hijxs de Aztlán,”was in charge of organizing the altar.

Interdisciplinary studies graduate student and Secretary of LUCHA Kimberly Grimaldo elaborated on the meaning behind the name of the organization.
