Sad to see another of Rhode Island’s premier musicians and music educators pass away recently. Lou Ricci was extremely active as a trombonist and RIMEA music teacher for many many years and was well known and respected when so many of today's veteran music educators entered the profession in the late 70s, 80s and 90s. Lou you will be missed but your musical legacy continues. Rest in peace knowing you made a positive difference for so many. Your legacy will live on. https://www.marianiandson.com/tributes/Louis-Ricci

It is imperative that all students have access to an equitable delivery of arts education that includes music, dance, media arts, theatre, and visual arts that supports their education and well-being, taught by certified arts educators.
