🍎✨ Celebrating National Principals Month! 🏫 Meet Natassha Jenkins the visionary leader behind KIPP Pride High School. She carries dual degrees in political science and history, as well as MA degrees in multicultural education and school administration. 🎓Her journey in education began in 2010 as a middle school social studies teacher. Her leadership path took off in 2015 when she became a North Carolina Principal Fellow.
She's dedicated to ensuring that every scholar who leaves KIPP Pride High is equipped with the skills to be college and career ready.

She graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Elementary Education, then she earned an MBA in Educational Leadership from Gardner Webb University.
In July 2020, Ms. Harrison joined KIPP Halifax and has since made a remarkable impact. Ms. Harrison creates an environment where both the school and community come together to ensure our scholars thrive academically and in their future career paths.

Meet Dr. Shepard, the visionary leader behind KIPP Academy Charlotte! 📚 A NC native and a North Carolina Central University graduate with a BA in English. 🎓Starting as a 6-8 grade Language Arts teacher and earning the "Beginning Teacher of the Year" title in 2008. 🏆In 2014, she reached another milestone, earning her PhD in Educational Leadership and Administration from Capella University.
Her ultimate goal? To forge partnerships with families, guiding our scholars towards college, careers, and choice-filled lives. Let's thank Dr. Shepard for her unwavering commitment to education!

Chef Greg is a 4x James Beard nominee and was named a semi-finalist in the James Beard Foundation Restaurant and Chef Awards in 2019 and 2020. Collier was recognized twice in the category of “Best Chef: Southeast.”
His wife Subrina is a 2020 James Beard Foundation Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Fellow, and the pair serve on President Joe Biden’s Small Business and Entrepreneurs Advisory Council.
They have three restaurants, Leah & Louise, Uptown Yolk SouthEnd, and 3rd and Fernwood opening soon!

Monica Villafuerte boasts over two decades of urban public school experience, spanning a diverse range of subjects, including dance, math, and world languages, in both New York City and New Jersey. She has taught elementary and middle school grades, serving students with diverse backgrounds. Her extensive leadership background includes roles such as dean of students, school programmer, staff developer, and adult high school coordinator. Monica founded People's Prep Charter High School in Newark, NJ, in 2011 and Cresthaven Academy Charter School in Plainfield, NJ, in 2016. Now Monica Villafuerte is a Head of Schools at KIPP NC and she brings her wealth of experience to our organization.
