was Friday, March 8!

At Primrose, we celebrate influential women like Malala Yousafzai, Mae Jemison and Mary Blair all year long as we read books about groundbreaking women in history. When students see themselves represented in books like these, they too can dream of being an artist, an astronaut, a Nobel Peace Prize winner and more!

Happy Chinese New Year 2024, the year of the Dragon.

The main reason I love Primrose is because my children love it. Like most children, my boys run to me at the end of the day and on the way home they are excited to tell me about what they did at school that day.

Primrose has a structured environment and is very organized. The teachers have a warm spirit about them and really care about the children. I also enjoy receiving alerts about what my boys learn at school daily, their meals and photos of them doing activities.

Lastly, I love the Primrose community. Primrose occasionally has family-oriented events such as a Thanksgiving dinner or Valentine’s dance where families are invited to attend. These events give parents the opportunity to spend more time with their children in the school environment and also allows parents to meet each other.

Welcome to part two of our series, exploring black history through the arts! Students at our schools read books like "Dream Big, Little One" that feature influential Black artists such as Alma Woodsey Thomas. Her bright and exciting paintings are reflected in the fun art we create during Early Art Masters, which is part of our Balanced Learning® curriculum. Keep an eye out for part three of this series!

02/09/2024

We are excited to celebrate with a three-part series featuring iconic Black artists. Scott Joplin was a composer who changed the face of music when he created the musical style ragtime. Primrose students enjoy dancing along to his song "The Entertainer" while they learn about different musical genres. Stay tuned to see which artist we celebrate next!
