Tips Tuesday from Mrs. B!
Singing is a whole body experience. It’s important to maintain a strong and healthy body to have a strong and healthy instrument!
Exercise is extremely important for singers! It helps us with our breathing, gives us endurance to withstand long rehearsals and performances, stimulates endorphins and teaches us how to focus on our body to properly use our voice- with our whole body!
Did you know Mrs. B is a fitness fanatic?? She truly believes exercising has helped her voice tremendously!! Try it!! Try some of these at home exercises! They are fun and they are FREE!!

One of my favorite LICC memories was our collaboration concert with the Foundation for Small Voices. We premiered a newly commissioned piece by Jim Papoulis & raised money for an incredible cause. Our LICC singers sang their hearts out & spread so much love in our community. Please enjoy, “Open Up My Heart to Hope.”

It's Tips Tuesday from Mrs. Triolo!
Practice singing with a mirror. Stand in front of the mirror and check your posture. Make sure your feet are shoulder-width apart. Check your shoulders for tension- relax them back and down.
When you sing with a mirror, you can check your expression and tension. What does the song mean? Should you be smiling or frowning? Your facial expressions can influence the meaning of a song for the audience. Look to see if your jaw and tongue are relaxed. Eliminate tension, especially in your face, as much as possible to ensure the most beautiful sound.
