October 10th was World Mental Health Day, a day dedicated to global mental health education, awareness, and advocacy against social stigma. Mental health is a topic that affects us all. According to the World Health Organization, nearly 1 in 8 people worldwide live with a mental health disorder. Anxiety, depression, and other common mental health challenges affect millions, including members of our own community.
At Guided Hearts Institute, we believe it’s time to open up the conversation, raise awareness, and mobilize our collective efforts to support one another through these challenges. Muslims, like everyone else, are not immune to these struggles, and addressing them is a vital part of our well-being. Join Ustādha Dunia Shuaib and Dr. Amir Shah on October 13th at 4 PM EST for an insightful IG Live discussion on recognizing and addressing mental health challenges within our Ummah. They will explore the most common struggles like anxiety and depression, and provide practical, faith-rooted ways to support ourselves and each other. This is also a space where your questions matter. Ustādha Dunia and Dr. Amir will be answering your questions live, so don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a meaningful and compassionate conversation.
Let’s come together to break down the stigma, learn, and grow for ourselves and for our community. Mark your calendars and join us for this important discussion!
