Newton County Theme School student Oliver Reid placed first overall for individual awards at the recent Griffin RESA Regional Middle School Math Competition! The Newton County Theme School math team won second place in the Division I team competitions.

The Newton County Theme School team, comprised of Reid, Shelley Crayon, Connor May, Benjamin Parson, and Maren Poynter was coached by Ms. Mindy Alexander. The math team students competed against other middle school teams from Newton, Butts, Fayette, Henry, Lamar, Pike, Spalding, and Upson counties.

Applications will not be accepted after Friday, March 17, 2023 at 3:00pm.

Volunteer Saturday Cleaning Day will consist of wiping down commonly touched surfaces such as desks, chairs, doors, counter tops, and door handles. Each teacher or staff member will leave a note on their door of what they would liked done in their room. You will be using a surface cleaner provided by our PTO....

Don’t bother cooking tomorrow!! Head over to Zaxby’s on Brown Bridge Road between 5:00-8:00 on 3/7/23!! You can order through the drive thru as well! Just be sure to tell the cashier you’re with NCTS!

Volunteers needed! Wednesday, March 8th. 7:30am - 1:30pm. This will be a 6 hour volunteer credit and I am hoping to have 5 volunteers present for the full day. Have you been to the new Publix yet in the Covington Town Center? Or do you shop at any other Publix? If you go to their website, create an account, go to your profile, and add Newton County Theme School at Ficquett as your My Publix Partner, then Publix donates a portion of money spent to the school! When you shop, and go to checkout, you can pay with the Publix app or enter your phone number at checkout, and Publix will donate a portion of your eligible purchase
to our school!

Helpful hint: Once you create the account and go to your profile, at the top of the screen there is a list of things across the top of the screen that says My Profile, My Wallet, My Payment Methods, etc. Click the arrow on that tool bar to scroll more to the right. Once you do that you will see MY PUBLIX PARTNER. Click on that and then follow the prompts to find the school. It was easier just to put in the zip code and then find NCTS from that list. Hope this helps!
