It is much easier to criticize yourself on your shortcomings than to appreciate the things you have already accomplished. You should be proud of yourself and be your biggest cheerleader! For this Thoughtful Thursday, we are reminding ourselves that we are something to be proud of!
Good morning! I claim this week will be great because we're going to be intentional about our actions and see how they serve our purpose.
Today's is coming from a heavy heart. There has been 125 mass shootings in 2023. More than 348,000 students have experienced gun violence at school since Columbine. As a parent, my heart aches.
Happy Thursday everyone! What are things that are stopping you from making yourself into a better person? It is so easy as a parent to put ourselves onto the back burner, think about some things that are important to you that are you are always pushing to the back.
Happy Friday everyone! The month of May will truly be one of unprecedented change as both my daughters are preparing to graduate one from college and the other from high school. As we prepare for the next chapters of their lives, I could not be more inspired by how these young women are handling it with such grace. The change for them also means change for me, which is why it is always important to constantly work on yourself. Have a good weekend everyone!
As you get older it is so easy to grow comfortable and complacent with the way things are. For this Thoughtful Thursday I dare you to examine your life and see where you are challenging yourself, and if you are not challenging yourself now how you can in the future?
Happy Monday! Let's kick this week off strong, everyday I am striving to be better than I was yesterday what about you?
THOUGHTFUL THURSDAYS ARE BACK! Let's remove the barriers that are holding us back from being our best selves!
Here’s your Thoughtful Thursday prompt…a grateful heart will keep you appreciative of what you do have versus what you do not. What are you grateful for today?
Last Friday of February! Mae Jemison's life is an inspiration for me. She defied the odds and shattered the glass ceiling. Years ago I had the opportunity to hear her speak. I still remember the impact of hearing her story. Today I celebrate the accomplishments of this amazing woman.
Happy Wednesday! If you're feeling down, I hope this cheers you up!
Shirley Chisholm paved the way for many African American women in politics. Her sacrifices and contributions will forever be remembered. Happy Black History Month!

Happy Friday everyone! As we kick off February and BHM, it is important to remember the act of paying it forward. If people before weren't willing to make sacrifices for those they didn't know I wouldn't be here today! What are you doing to better the next generation?
Happy Thursday everyone! As we begin the month of February, I had it on my heart to say a few tips about personal growth. If you dig your feet in and believe in yourself, it could be your best year yet!

If you're comfortable, you're not growing. I want to be a be a better person today than I was yesterday, and tomorrow I want to be better than I am today.

Let me make it clear, I disrupt systems. Sometimes these are the systems individuals have established for themselves that no longer contribute to their growth. And, sometimes these are the systems that inhibit a team from reaching its goals. If this is you or your organization, then let's talk. Link in bio.

I’m standing firmly in the person I’m becoming by affirming who she is whether I’ve arrived or not.
Day 17 of the 21 Day Challenge. ✅ Today, claim the greatness you will seige out of today. For me, today is going to be great because I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be in this season.
My daughter told me that she listed me as one of the people she most admired for a class assignment. With tears in my eyes , 🥹 I asked her why and her response was “because you had the courage to leave your job, you work hard everyday and always have time for us.” I needed to hear that because I was feeling down about some business opportunities that haven’t come through and that conversation reminded me that being available for my family is what is needed right now. I’m exactly where I’m suppose to be and for that reason today is a great day!
Day 16 of the 21 Day Challenge. ✅ It’s not too early to celebrate! You’ve made it 16 days. Give yourself permission to celebrate your journey thus far. Whether it’s a baby step or a giant leap is still progress!
