Mission: ThinkGive is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring young people to use kindness to engage with their world.

It's during challenging times that we have to return to the basics and search for our deepest beliefs. What do you believe? How can your beliefs drive you to make a difference in someone else's life? Make it simple and make it true. #thinkgive

Who is someone in your life that's having a cloudy day? Could you be the rainbow that helps clear their sky with some extra attention, a kind word, a song and dance? A cloudy day is no match for a genuine gift. #thinkgive

Our world has come to a halt in many respects. This has created space for the natural world to come to life. Take time to be grateful for the world around you this weekend. Notice singing birds, churring crickets, blooming flowers, and all the other wonders that spring has invited back into our lives. #thinkgive

May we all have people in our lives that make us laugh and smile and feel joy. May we also be that gardener that helps another's soul blossom.#thinkgive

Gratitude Exercise | feel-brave

Are you an elementary level educator looking for simple and quick lessons around wellbeing? Author of the Feel Brave series Avril McDonald offers up a page of wonderful resources. Check it out! Has someone done something that you are truly grateful for? Do they know the impact they made on you? Have you shown them your gratitude? How could you do that?

Essential workers leave their homes every day to make sure the lives of others remain as smooth as possible. Packages, letters, and food arrive at our doors, grocery store shelves are stocked, and the sick are cared for. A small act of kindness can go a long way in making their day a little brighter, so let's show appreciation for essential workers! #thinkgive

What kindness and positivity can you envision in your life right now? Who are the people in your life that tackle each day with fierce positivity, even when it's difficult? Can you find a way to thank them? Celebrate them? Acts of kindness can put us in a better mindset, and prepare us to carry out more and more powerful actions of positivity. #thinkgive

1800+ acts of kindness...incredible! The Community Challenge has come to an end, but let’s make this the start of something great. We hope you look ahead with strengthened resolve to connect and bring joy to others. Opportunities to give are everywhere—all you have to do is take notice and choose to act. Kindness and compassion are essential each and every day, so let’s keep it up! #thinkgive

Giving anonymously is one of the most genuine ways to give because we don’t expect recognition or thanks. It doesn’t always allow us to see the impact; but does that matter? Our actions will still lift those around us. This is how we can choose to live our lives— giving to others not for acknowledgment but for the power inherent in the action. People and humanity need kindness. It provides hope and it’s 100% in your control to give, every day. #thinkgive

Sometimes what a person needs most is for someone to simply be by their side. To be present. Today’s challenge (and it really is a challenge!) asks you to notice what those around you might need. Look for an opportunity to give your full attention to someone. Just be there, listening and empathizing. It’s not easy to just BE, but your presence carries with it a silent strength that will be the biggest gift of all. #thinkgive

Our environment is a beautiful thing; it’s where we ALL live. Connecting with—and caring for—nature today and every single day will help ease our bodies and fill our souls. This week, give to the environment. What can you do to benefit the earth? Be thoughtful and be patient. Remember, every small act truly makes a difference and has the power to positively impact the world around us for years to come. #thinkgive

The importance and power of connecting and reconnecting with others has never been clearer. People come in and out of our lives. Maybe you've moved or changed schools. Maybe you and a friend became interested in different things and grew apart. People often stay in our thoughts, but as time goes by we lose touch.
There is no time like the present! Push aside your worries and reconnect with a friend or relative. Chances are it will make their day and your own. This tiny act has the potential to have a lasting impact on both your lives. #thinkgive

Communities are so important—they support the individuals within and come together when times are tough. It is on each of us to celebrate and help strengthen our communities. The simplest act can uplift us as individuals and foster a greater sense of connection for all.

Over the next few days, give to your community. Look around and find opportunities for kindness. Think about those you see and those you don’t always see. Give hope, give appreciation, give care, give joy. Who knows, you might inspire others to do the same. That’s the spirit of a community!

Gratitude is an amazing thing. It helps us make the most of what we have and fills our bucket. This week, recognize who and what you have to be thankful for. Look for something positive today and every day. Just be open to what comes your way and then choose to express your gratitude.

Good friends see us at our best and our worst. We trust them with our secrets. If we’re down, a friend cheers us up. When we’re happy, a friend laughs with us. Let’s take time to uplift a friend and be the silver lining of their day. Reach out and let someone know you're thinking of them. Give to a friend.
Help us create a community of compassion and kindness. Share what you gave and how it made you feel using #thinkgive.

Family can be a great elixir in difficult times, easing our minds, comforting our souls, and offering us connection. How you define "family" is up to you. What is consistent is that the love of family is unconditional. They’ll be there for you no matter what...

Self-kindness is always important, but right now it’s essential. After all, we’re dealing with a situation we’ve never faced before. Go easy on yourself! And explore: What does your body and mind need right now? It might feel selfish, but taking time to care for yourself will ensure that you are able to look outward and care for others.
Over the next few days, do something for yourself that you might not typically do. Something extra. Take a bath. Read a book. Exercise. Keep it simple! And with each new day, strive to make self-kindness part your routine.
Inspire others and help us create a community of kindness and compassion by posting your gifts and experiences. Share what you gave and how it made you feel
and be sure to use #thinkgive.

Fill your month of April with fearless positivity! Join our Community Challenge and commit to give kindness and compassion to yourself and others.

Giving is good for you! ThinkGive is about self discovery and understanding the positive effects of giving of yourself — a compliment, a helping hand, appreciation, love. Teachers provide guidance and encouragement but students own their experience. They see their actions making a difference — and what they see, they remember.

ThinkGive in action at Our Sisters' School in New Bedford, MA! OSS 5th graders were challenged to give kindness to someone in another grade who embodies values they find most important to uphold. A great way to build meaningful relationships with other students in their school community who have the potential to be important mentors in their lives.

ThinkGive in action at The Meadowbrook School! “ThinkGive has made our 5th graders more aware of how to show appreciation to those around them. One of our favorite parts of the program is when students read each other’s posts and share their favorites. It’s an opportunity for students to connect over their gifts and see the best in each other." - Teacher, Meadowbrook School

ThinkGive Project

Empowering kids to choose kindness.

ThinkGive helps teachers foster caring and inclusive classrooms. Our social emotional learning program inspires upper elementary and middle schoolers to be thinkers, upstanders, and changemakers. Students build a strong sense of self, create meaningful connections, and experience firsthand the power of their actions.

ThinkGive students give their time, their gratitude, their support, and so much more. Young people learn to lead with empathy and kindness and realize the impact their words and actions have on others and themselves. They become empowered with the knowledge that they can be agents of positive change and are inspired to make a real and profound impact in their schools and communities.
