[10/01/18]   Thank you to Chelsea Draper, MiKayla VanBibber, and Khristian Siniff for your assistance at Graduation!

Working with the Ambassadors was an honor over the years and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Hey, Ambassador GRADS!! I will need some assistance for the fall graduation. This is the last ceremony of the Columbus Campus so my final batch of Ambassadors are walking the stage. If you can, reach out the your fellow Ambassadors and let me know who can make it!! Send me a PM with your name, email, and phone number so I can get you the pertinent details.

[01/22/18]   Calling all Ambassador GRADS!!! We need help! With the news that our campus will no longer enroll new students our Ambassador numbers are dwindling. While we have a great group remaining to help with the spring ceremony; it's too much for just 6 people to handle. If you or any other Ambassador graduates can help, please send me an email at [email protected]. The ceremony is Saturday, March 24 with rehearsal Friday evening, March 23. Please let me know ASAP!! Thanks all!!

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Children with cancer hope for the same things that healthy children hope for—they dream of being princesses or pirates, walking on the moon, and even the simple thrill of riding a bike.

While Everest Institute Columbus can’t help with walking on the moon, it is doing a great job making bike-riding a happy reality for terminally ill children. It’s all due to the campus’s connection with a local charity called Kayleigh’s Kause.

The campus learned about the charity through Rusty Carpenter, Director of Career Services, who knew Kayleigh and has worked with the organization since it began. Today, the campus holds this cause near and dear to its heart and seeks to spread the word to other campuses.

“I would love to challenge every employee to contribute $1 to our GOFUND account in Kayleigh’s name,” said Curtis Hemmeler, Campus President. “Last year we had over 500 children wanting bikes and 240 walked away without one because of lack of funding.”

www.gofundme.com/kayleighskause

Kayleigh’s Kause is a local family organization established to honor the life an angel. Kayleigh lost her battle with cancer 12 years ago at age 7. Since that time her parents started the organization to honor her memory and help heal their hearts. Kayleigh loved to ride her bike even during the hardest cancer treatments. Kayleigh’s Kause raises funds annually and provides bikes to children with cancer, as well as their siblings, at Christmastime.

Kayleigh’s Kause partners with a local Columbus charity called Kids-N-Kamp to coordinate the annual event. This year’s event will be Sunday, Dec. 6, in Columbus.
