In the past few months, the Fearless Student Employees coalition at the University of Maryland has been working hard to fight for what we believe are our rights as employees. Exciting update: the bill, HB 1250, has a hearing this Thursday at 3:00 PM in Annapolis.

If you have a story that you would like to share with legislators about why you believe this is important--even if it is just a paragraph or two of an anecdote in support--please email it to [email protected]. They will format your testimony and send it in for you. To convey the importance of this bill for our campuses all across the state, the coalition needs as many stories as possible, so please help spread the word!

As you may know, University of Maryland School of Public Health is hosting Public Health Research @ Maryland Day on April 6, 2017. This year, a photo contest has been added to provide a way for participants to show their creativity and share images that demonstrate the diverse concepts of public health.
