NEXT WEDNESDAY:: The second installment of the "Free Speech in a Dangerous World" series features visiting scholars at risk in the Claremont Colleges community:

Eda Erdener, formerly an associate professor in the Psychology Department of the Arts and Science at Bingöl University in eastern Turkey; now Visiting Scholar at Risk at Pomona College
Adib Shaar, formerly dean of research and a faculty member at Mamoun University in Aleppo, Syria; now Visiting Scholar at Risk at Harvey Mudd College
This lecture is part of Free Speech in a Dangerous World, a yearlong series exploring the relationship between free speech on campus and diversity and inclusion across disciplines and contexts. Presenting different viewpoints and global perspectives, the series examines the central goals of liberal education, including fostering difficult dialogues, academic freedom, and promoting diversity and inclusive excellence.
