Nothing like a day at pHake Lake, one of the many outdoor “classrooms” used by students in the Lab for Autonomous and Intelligent Robotics - LAIR.
The HEATlab crew at in Berkeley.

The HEATlab was joined by 2 Lab for Autonomous and Intelligent Robotics - LAIR alumni for a total of 5 ICAPS papers/presentations by Harvey Mudd College students and alumni, including a best student paper honorable mention.

Congrats to all!

LAIR hits the beach on the last day of summer research!
SUMMER RESEARCH SPOTLIGHT: Shark tracking. Shipwreck searching. Skin stretching. You've just got to love the variety of research projects underway this summer in the Harvey Mudd College Department of Engineering. At today's Lab Open House, these projects and more were on display, with student researchers poised to provide the latest details about their work. Here's a peek at several of the projects.

Barrier behavior of human skin (Prof. Nancy Lape)
Simulation of emerging memory technology (Prof. Matthew Spencer)
Controlling cell phenotype in a tissue-engineered cornea (Prof. Liz Orwin ’95)
Low-cost projection lithography and related tools (Prof. Brian Bryce)
Computation for/development of high entropy metallic alloys (Prof. Lori Bassman)
ICEX and shark tracking (Prof. Chris Clark/ Lab for Autonomous and Intelligent Robotics - LAIR)
