A huge congratulations is in order for our Chamber Singers who won 1st place in the very prestigious Festival of Gold in Washington, DC this past weekend! The festival was invitation only and the participating choirs had all been previously ranked in the top 5% of high school choirs in the nation. Thanks to all their hard work in class, lunch rehearsals, and after school retreats we are incredibly proud to announce their victory! They would like to extend the most sincere and heartfelt thanks to their incredible director, Dr. Joel Wilson, for everything he did to get them there and to help them win. Without him, this incredible department would not exist, much less be as successful as they are. They would also like to thank their supporters of every variety including parents and donors.
Below is a photo of the group on the Strathmore Hall stage, where they competed and then performed in the encore concert after winning first.
