Room Selection 2018-2019 - Residential Life What is Room Selection? Room Selection is Scripps' online housing reapplication process, for qualifying Scripps students. Room Selection takes place over the course of the spring semester, with selection for on-campus rooms taking place on April 11, 12, and 13.

The Office of Residential Life is pleased to announce two opportunities to support and shape the residential experience at Scripps College, as well as help cultivate a greater sense of community and connectedness. For the 2018-2019 academic year, we are seeking applications for Community Coordinators and a fewer number of the more comprehensive role of Resident Advisor. Both roles focus heavily on facilitating a thriving residential community, one that mirrors the creativity, vibrancy and energy of our students. Information sessions will be held on Sunday, February 18 @ 2pm in the Kimberly Living Room and Wednesday, February 21 @ 4pm in the GJW Living Room.

Room Selection is upon us...if you are interested in living in one of our Living Learning Communities, please plan to attend the Info Session this Thursday, March 2nd at 7pm in the GJW Living Room or Monday, March 6th at 7pm in the GJW Living Room

Our communities include: Bridges LLC (Social Justice centered), STEAM and Pre-Professional LLC, Green LLC (sustainable living), and Sub-Free community

A few updates and Reminders for Room Selection!

Applications for 240 House, Living Learning Communities (STEM & Pre-Health, and Bridges) Substance-Free Housing, Language Corridors (Spanish, French, Italian, German), and 5-C Exchanges are due March 11th at 11:55pm. We haven't received many applications yet, so there is still time to apply!

These are excellent opportunities for students seeking a unique community. In particular, we encourage rising Sophomores/current First Years to consider these, especially if you're exploring single rooms!

What are you, really? For those of us who identify as more than one race are often encouraged to choose just one, as we may not be "enough" of the other. We counter the monoracial construct and narrative that exists in the race conversation. During this session, we will connect as a small but mighty part of the race conversation, engage in our stories, and explore ways to build community. implications for practice.

Brighton Park Apartments - Residential Life Brighton Park apartments are located minutes away from the Scripps campus and Claremont Colleges. Units rented by the college are two-bedroom, 2-bathrooms. Each apartment is furnished by Scripps, and includes all utilities, wireless internet, and cable.
