see what we've been up to behind the scenes for the first part of our administration!!

as a whole, sga held its fall elections to elect its newest members: our first year senators, and .amadon . at the viking fair and block party, we have increased our outreach to further our voice to the student body via instagram and . two new rso's were initiated this fall .educators.rising .in collaboration with headcount, sga sponsored a voter registration drive to increase efforts to get students ready to vote. in partnership with, sga worked alongside nonprofits to share their causes and give campus avenues to get involved in our community. and recently, a self-defense class was organized and led through impact chicago in efforts to help students become more confident. in communication with the office of the president, an open house was hosted at president surridge's to foster open dialogue with students and herself. general council had continued with our biweekly meetings with a diverse range of faculty and north park community guests.

judicial committee has been hard at work amending the roles of sga members to better serve the community. as well, the group has been updating the constitution to make it more accessible and fair to all.

finance committee has been toiling over the budget and analyzing rso budget proposals for their fall semester allocations.

advocacy committee has carried on the work to finish the mini library project and set them into place around campus.

sustainability committee begun gardening in the newly constructed community garden. they hosted a river clean-up event just under our campus bridge to encourage the growth of our local habitat. at our local forest preserve, the committee organized mediation out in nature.

commuter committee has been deep in communication with administration advocating for the commuter experience. they have organized coffee in the viking cafe as well as a changes to encourage community. last month, they hosted a pumpkin painting event and continue to hold meetings open to all students.
