Last month, associates in our Detroit Branch Office came together to make a difference, collecting 870 books for Gifts For All God’s Children, an organization dedicated to supporting underserved children. Additionally, they donated to the Friends of Rochester Hills Public Library, further spreading the love of reading in their community.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to this incredible effort. Together, we’re empowering young minds and fostering a brighter future through the gift of books.

We did it - and then some! The 2024 Kumon Book Drive has officially wrapped up, and we’re thrilled to announce that we surpassed our goal by an amazing 14.5%! Thanks to the unstoppable dedication and generosity of Kumon Instructors and Associates, we’ve collected a total of 57,268 books from 2022 to 2024. Together, we’ve made a lasting impact, one book at a time!

These books have been distributed far and wide across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, supporting access to education and literacy for countless communities. This milestone reflects Kumon’s dedication to the UN Sustainable Development Goals:

We are proud to share the incredible impact made by our Kumon Associates in the Vaughan, Ontario Office. Through their efforts, 1,500 books were collected and donated to Second Life Books. These books will now bring comfort and joy to many as they find new homes in hospitals and nursing homes. A special thank you to our associates as well as Kirsten Heyerdahl of Organizing Wellness and her clients for their generous contributions, which helped us reach this incredible milestone.

This effort not only reflects Kumon’s mission to foster a love for learning but also reaffirms our commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by supporting literacy, reducing inequalities, and promoting sustainability through book reuse. We’re proud to share that associates in Kumon’s Rutherford, NJ office collected an incredible 4,623 books for the 2024 Kumon Book Drive! These books have been donated to Book Smiles, an inspiring organization dedicated to putting books into the hands of children and adults who need them most.

🎉❄️ From December 1st - January 31st, students can participate in the Kumon Winter Challenge by completing at least 20 days of work in December and 20 days of work in January.

Students have the chance to win a gift card by posting a photo or video on Facebook or Instagram using and tagging . Plus, they’re encouraged to use if they’re on Kumon Connect! Winners will be selected from posted photos or videos on social media that use the hashtag(s).
Here are the available prizes 🏆✨:
30 total progress winners x $25 gift card awarded throughout December and January

Completing the Kumon Math or Reading Program is the highest achievement a Kumon student can achieve. When a student completes the Math or Reading Program, they receive an award for each subject and a special award for completing both programs.

After completing the Kumon Math Program, students will have a solid understanding of working with advanced differentiation/integration and how to apply these skills.
After completing the Kumon Reading Program, students will have a deep understanding of elements of literature, substantiate interpretations of passages, and further enhance their ability to read critically.
