This picture warmed my heart today when I received it. Last night, a connection was made between these two at a virtual roundtable I hosted addressing gun violence. Greg Jackson of Heal Charlotte jumped into action dropping off Stop the Violence swag to a new student ambassador who I’m certain will spread this urgent and necessary message!
Join us on Monday, Jan 24 7-8pm for this roundtable discussion. LCSW/Counselor Justin Perry & HealCharlotte founder, Greg Jackson, will be among the panelists. Student voices will also be lifted up. We have to use all of the tools in our toolbox to address gun violence. Let’s learn about the work being done already and ideas around how to move Mecklenburg forward. RSVP at [email protected]

Loving your neighbor isn’t rocket science, you just treat people how you want to be treated.

The simplicity of love isn’t getting taught. I hear a lot of “I don’t know how”, “what steps should I take” and the step is to love first. Showing love isn’t complicated when you are doing it for the right reason.

Me being a GOD fearing man, I love so I can be a reflecting image of the LOVE that saved me. Which is the love of CHRIST.

Don’t complicate love today. Show love and you will get love. Make deposit in the love bank today.

Peace and blessings everyone! I pray all is well with you all.

Today is always a rough, reflective and appreciative day all in one. Just tons of emotions being that it's been 6 years since Keith Lamont Scott's life was taken from him and we protested throughout the streets of Uptown Charlotte.

It also means that it has been 6 years since we started Heal Charlotte and through that ministry we have been blessed to do some great work in the city. Also, for me personally GOD has really blessed me in these last 6/7 years of my life. Through service work that looks to heal the wounds of this city, I have been able to heal my own personal wounds. By serving people I have in someway served myself. I've gotten baptized in these last 6 years. That protest saved my life but it hurts that we had to lose Keith Lamont Scott and Justin Carr for it to happen.

This is why I can't stop and won't stop because the protest is not just that one day in the streets it's 365 DAYS A YEAR. This is why I chose to serve to the best of my ability because I owe it to those brothers and their families plain and simple. May they rest in power!! May KEITH LAMONT SCOTT'S AND JUSTIN CARR'S NAME LIVE FOREVER through the work we do at . It has been an honor and privilege to serve and we will continue to do so BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. I WILL ALWAYS SCREAM until the

SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE COMMUNITY LEADERS whether "boots on the ground" or in an executive seat. Keep pounding, Keep fighting because a change is gonna come but it starts with us.

I did an interview today with of check it out later tonight.

Peace!! - Jackson

Some of my random thoughts!!

Have Integrity all the time, your will protect you from falling Victim to people that just want to profit off of your creativity.

Natural integrity is doing the right thing when nobody is looking. What if we looked at it like GOD is always watching and we want to impress him?

What does the WORD say about Integrity?

1 Chronicles 29:17

“I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. All these things I have given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you.”
‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭29:17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Job 2:3 NLT

“Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason.””
‭‭Job‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Psalm 25:19-21 NLT

“See how numerous are my enemies and how fiercely they hate me! Guard my life and rescue me; do not let me be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope, Lord, is in you.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭25:19-21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

released a 2022 Mid Year Review: Rising Gun & Youth Crime Top Concern

Since the beginning of 2022, at least 118 juveniles have been suspects of firearm-related offenses. In addition, there have been at least 482 juvenile victims of firearm-related crimes.

These numbers are staggering. What happens with these young people and their families? Charlotte we have to do better?

Yes, she is rising senior in H.S but she is experiencing college now. She was so excited this morning. She is 1 of only 2 students picked from her school and on top of that she is the only Young lady in her class.

So proud of her and I know my Dad is with her especially on this day.

Also, the legendary from the Cold Crush Brothers Music will be leading a breakout session on how HIP HOP can play a role in

About this event:

This year, National Gun Violence Awareness Month and Heal Charlotte will also host our 2nd Annual Stop The Violence Day, June 25th. The mission of is to set a strong tone for the 2nd half of the year 2022 that violence is not the desired culture in our city. We will do this by providing resources and support to the community to reduce the incidence of gun violence in Charlotte, NC. The vision for the event is a summit that will take place in June 2022 for Gun Violence prevention month. This summit will combine elements of arts, culture, entertainment, and education to bring awareness to the issues and provide solutions for change. The art and training showcased throughout the STV Day will begin grassroots conversations among community members and advocates that will carry the mission of the Summit into the rest of the year and beyond.

Let me ask this question. How are kids in school taking tests after this horrific-just straight act of evil we all just witnessed?

How aren’t all schools in America closed right now? I just don’t understand how we send our children back in to the world like it never happened and expect teachers to teach, students to learn and principals to govern a school. HOW? My hearts hurts for the families, children, school staff and city of Uvalde, Texas.

Where is the prayer time, family time, mental health day for all of us? Why doesn’t this shut the world down like COVID did? Wheees the empathy? When will Gun safety really be addressed?

This is how we operate as a society. Hey, I’m guilty of it too. Excepting this mediocrity as of this is how life is. Well guess what, this isn’t how life was intended to be. We aren’t supposed to to just get up and get to work after this. We are supposed to mourn, cry, appreciate our loved ones and love on them some more today. I pray we all do exactly that today.

ANYWAY I LOVE YALL, ALL OF YALL AND I PRAY WE NEVER HAVE TO EXPERIENCE THIS AGAIN. I REBUKE ANY PLANS (in the name of JESUS)THAT WANT TO BRING CHAOS, CONFUSIONS, HARM AND HEARTACHE into this world. I pray that we experience peace, love and forbearance throughout our lives.

, , , and !!

These are 5 core values of that was apart of us building the foundation of the organization.

Build your integrity-create a wall of positive characteristics that protects your Integrity from the enemy.

Find your passions-We all have passions and some of those passions are connected to a gift. Find those passions and work on them, they will ultimately lead you to your divine purpose.

Walk into your purpose- The reason GOD created you to operate as a vessel on earth for the Glory of the KINGDOM. When what you do naturally aligns with who you are spiritually.

Serve your Community “If everyone does a little bit, no one will have to do a lot”

Build a Legacy- Attach yourself to a Legacy that’s bigger than you! This Legacy must be for the greater good of all who are involved.

That’s the Heal Charlotte way!

Work, Work, Work but in the midst of all the work I forgot to post sometimes. As things are happening on the ground and lives are being transformed through the work of HEAL CHARLOTTE, I forget to post that there is a macro part to our vision and I don't want you to ever forget that.

Yes, we are housing families that experience homelessness and have housed 60 families in the last year and half. Yes, over 50% of those families are in permanent housing now because of the eco-system of support that exist in our programming but that's not the only goal. The goal is to own this hotel and the land that it sits on. We need to sustain the project and the only way to do so is buying owning where we program. Please don't ever forget that macro vision when you see the work being done.

There will be a revival on 85/Sugar Creek area. There is a plan for my corridor. The LORD woke me up everyday at 6:30 am in September, 2018 and said I will buy a hotel and use it for housing.
The LORD wants to see a REVIVAL in this area. I pray that HE continues to use me.
