Mark your calendars - we are hosting a free public field trip in conjunction with National Fossil Day on October 18! The field trip is free to everyone and open to the public as well as CofC students, staff, and faculty. The field trip is right at low tide from 4-7pm; if you arrive after 4pm, just look for maroon College of Charleston T-shirts. We will be meeting at the Folly Beach County Park parking lot at 4pm; we will be looking between the County Park and 7th street west if you arrive late. Just look for the maroon CofC shirts! Free fossil-collecting field trip tomorrow - 4-6pm, meeting at 4pm at the boardwalk at the intersection of 3rd street west and West Ashley Ave just a couple blocks west of the Folly Beach pier. Find street parking, or pay in one of the dirt lots. Field trip led by the Boesseneckers; come find fossil shark teeth, shells, and other natural oddities! Contact us if you have questions.
