Dear Monday,
Thank you for having the word "mon" in you. That's French for "mine"... which means this is really, "MY day". And frankly, that sounds like a much better start to my week. Happy MYday everyone! #MondayMotivation #CoopFitness

I've been getting a lot of questions from people about how to maintain, or increase, lean muscle mass while cutting body fat. This is by no means an easy task. However, I like to keep things as simple as possible... so here's just a few quick tips.

1. Lift weights! And keep your routine mixed up.
2. Do 30 - 45 min of cardio 4-5 days a week (I like to mix in some jump rope intervals).
3. Eat frequently, about 5-6 meals/snacks every day (*especially breakfast). Choose good clean sources of proteins and carbs.
4. Get on a solid supplement program with high quality products.
5. Stop eating all the snacks you think are healthy because they say "low calorie", "low fat" or "all natural" on the package... take 2 min to read the labels. If its in a box, you may want to reconsider.
6. Drink lots of H2O!
7. Go to bed earlier. 7-8 hours of sleep is essential for recovery. This is an area I need to improve on myself.

Just start with a few small changes. Be extremely intentional and consistent about a few healthy choices and they will eventually become habits. Your body will start to crave these habits, trust me. Hope this helped a few of you. Message me for more insight.
