Planting Wildflowers, really any flowers, are great food sources for pollinators. But consider thinking long term in your support of the pollinators and wildlife in your area by planting a tree(s) on your property. Trees provide the largest resources of nectar and pollen for honey bees and other pollinators and can have a lifespan that can last for generations. The tree you plant today could still be providing for pollinators and wildlife 100 years from now and that’s the kind of support we all would like to be part of. Some trees to consider, Maples, Tulip Poplar, Basswood, Elm, Serviceberry, Fruit Trees, sourwood etc.. Search Google or talk to a local tree nursery for a list of trees to plant in your area. Plant a tree, help the bees!

Thank you for joining our special Cocktails & Conversations event last night with The Pollinator Partnership. We had a great time enjoying delicious drinks and learning about the vital roles bees and other pollinators play in our food systems and greater ecosystems as a whole.

Roughly one third of all food crops rely on cross pollination, yet bee populations continue to struggle around the world.

We started Bee’s Knees Week as a way to bring together a community of like minded bartenders and spirits enthusiasts with a shared goal of highlighting the importance of bees in our environment and their role in our food and drink systems.

Last year, we planted over 70,000 square feet of pollinator friendly habitat through the participation of friends and fans!🐝🐝

This September, we’re aiming even higher! To learn more about #beeskneesweek2021 and how you can help make us plant even more pollinator habitat by simply enjoying a delicious Bee’s Knees cocktail and sharing on social media, click the link below!🥂

Our Story

The Bee Cause and our tiny partners, the bees, give students of all ages a tangible connection to our ecosystem. Our STEAM-based curriculum and educational hives build learning opportunities in classrooms and communities, inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards.

Through our initial goal of installing 1,000 bee hives in schools for observation based learning, the project has grown to include outdoor classrooms, community projects, and learning experiences based upon the lessons of the humble bee. Together in these projects we connect people with their pollinators to protect our collective habitats.
