Every day after school committed volunteers serve nutritious meals through our Kids Cafe program. Thank you, volunteers for giving so much time to the cause of childhood hunger in our community! Service Learning Showcase of the Principled Leadership Symposium March 13-14, 2014

The Citadel invites submissions for Poster Presentations to showcase innovative and successful Service Learning collaborations between campus and community partners.

• The Service Learning Showcase is a part of The Citadel’s Principled Leadership Symposium, March 13-14, 2014 in Charleston, SC.
• Initiative projects and programs approved after peer-review will be displayed in the Daniel library from noon-six on Thursday, March 13. Collaborators should be on hand to discuss projects from 5:00pm- 6:00pm.
• Applications are encouraged from undergraduate and graduate students, AmeriCorps VISTA volunteers, staff, faculty, and/or community partners. Collaborating teams are especially encouraged.
• Participation in the Principled Leadership Symposium and Service-Learning Showcase is free of charge but participants do need to pre-register for conference.

The Citadel chapter of the Knights of Columbus presented a check to Crisis Ministries for $2,500. After raising the money by doing concession work this fall, they chose to sponsor a cubicle in the new mens' veteran dorm at Crisis Ministries. Way to go guys!

Hello everyone! Want to help a family in a pickle this holiday season? The Citadel Humanitarian Society is partnering with Tricounty Family Ministries to provide items for families in need this Christmas. These families need warm coats, Christmas presents, and food for Christmas dinner. There are pickle barrels in the library, Mark Clark Hall, and Deas Hall where you can drop off items. .
