Spiritualists & Pagans of the Lowcountry

"C.A.S.T. was formed as a vehicle to promote the ideal of community. To inspire the various members of different groups, as well as Solitary Practitioners to work together for the greater good.

To find a Path that all could travel for a time and to pool the vast resources available to us. We recognize and respect our differences. But we recognize as well that the sum of the whole is greater than the sum of our parts. We emphasize cooperative effort and mutual respect among members. Our doors are always open to people of good will who share those ideals."

Charleston Strong: From Tragedy to Unity | The Wild Hunt

This article interviewed several Pagan community members / leaders from the local area, including 2 Council members of CAST and contains pics of 3 Council members of CAST. This subject is very important to all of us, no matter our race or faith......we are all touched by this tragedy in one way or another.

May we all, as humans, learn and grow from this senseless act of violence so that we do not continue to suffer from them, but create a better future for ourselves and future generations.

Blessings to you all,

[06/01/15]   Lowcountry CAST would like to offer its sincerest gratitude to our local Pagan community, families, and friends for joining us at our annual Pagan Unity Day festival this past Saturday. We had a wonderful time with you all and the energy was so very pleasant, calming, and peaceful.

To our vendors, readers, healers, workshop instructors, performers, and volunteers, we give many, many thanks. Without you, we would not be able to put on this event each year for the benefit of our community. We thoroughly enjoy having you participate with us.

We were thrilled to have an adoption from the Doc Williams SPCA !!! They were overjoyed not only with the adoption of an older large male dog, but they received lots of food, supplies, treats, and toys for the animals at their shelter who are waiting for their forever homes.

We are already making plans for next year's Pagan Unity Day festivities. The Council's work is never done (LOL). Keep an eye out for new events and news coming up about our other future events as well. The next event is a Midsummer Beach Ritual in a couple of weeks. There is information under our Events Tab regarding this gathering. Check it out and come see us.

On behalf of the CAST Council and myself, we wish you many blessings. Merry Meet, Merry Part, and Merry Meet again.

[10/16/14]   Good Morning everyone--

The regularly scheduled open CAST Council meeting that is held on the 2nd Saturday of every month prior to PDC at Atlanta Bread Co. HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY NOVEMBER 2, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the Pizza Hut on Main Street in Summerville (right down the street from Atlanta Bread Co.).

This is occurring because 75% of the Council members will be out of town due to other commitments. This meeting has been rescheduled because of it being the Meet and Greet meeting of the candidates running for the CAST Council for 2015. This meeting is the last opportunity to volunteer to run for a Council Member position, so please if you are considering running for the Council, you need to announce your intention BEFORE the end of this meeting.

This DOES NOT AFFECT PDC being held on its regularly scheduled 2nd Saturday of the month from 7-9 p.m. at Atlanta Bread Co. This is only in reference to the open CAST Council meeting and the Meet and Greet for the CAST Council Candidates. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of the Council members and we will be happy to answer them. We look forward to seeing everyone.

[05/17/14]   This year the CAST Council is looking to expand on it's annual Samhain event. For years, CAST has held its Witches' Ball complete with food, dancing, and ritual. This year the CAST Council would like to expand the Witches' Ball into an overnight event that would include not only food, dancing, and ritual; but also a haunted house and/or a hay ride, and "carnival" for the kids. This overnight event would require some traveling to attend. The cost of the event would be about the same to attend as past CAST Samhain events. What the CAST Council wants to know is whether or not there's enough interest in holding a "new" style of Samhain event or if the community would just prefer to hold the Witches' Ball as we have in the past.

Please respond to this matter by June 2, 2014 so that the Council can solidify its venue bookings. Thank you.
