Extremely proud of my student Donte. Here's him doing a performance of a blues piece. He was a bit nervous but got his groove around the midway point. Unfortunately, he's is moving and has to find another teacher closer to his new home.☹️

Guitar Lessons and Music Instruction in Charleston, SC.
Operating as usual

I found a sweet puppy on my morning run a couple of days ago. To her to the wonderful people at I know they'll do their best to find her a good home. I'm super grateful for organizations like this. They asked that I not post images of the dog to prevent fraudulent claims.

One of my favorite quotes from this past year came from Rich Roll. He said, “I’m reminded that most of us vastly overestimate what we can accomplish in a year. And wildly underestimate what we can achieve in a decade." For me and you, this should apply to the guitar. This is especially important to remember when it seems like the entire year has been lost. Read the most recent blog post to find out where it is leading me.

A little D major sight reading never hurt anyone. 🙂 Of course, I don't like recording sight reading because I feel obligated to show any errors when posting. Once you've played it once, you are no longer sight reading.

Almost five years ago, the studio opened it's doors in Charleston. This photo is from a month after opening at the first location. I'm so happy that I was able to have such a space to begin here, but I'm also glad to be in a different studio now. 🥂 To many more years to come!
