Lunch today was such a treat! Thank you to all of the people that made time during a busy season and made that happen for us. Soups, salad, and fresh baguette were all truly delicious!

Does anyone know if teacher assignments are posted on windows at the school?
I have still yet to hear if my 4th grader is in person or not. I did hear my kindergartener IS in person.
I cannot sign up for meet and greet if I do not know who the teacher is.
We will have 100 bags of school supplies to distribute on Tuesday, August 25th.
If you're concerned about the messages we're sending our students, please consider signing this.
What is Ms. Findley’s email address to send the TP video to? Also can I have clarification on the directions. The video the teachers, the TP came from the right side of the person in the video and tossed to left.
Instructions given to us said to toss from left to get it and toss away to right.
Hi Moms and Pops with ADHD kiddos!

With ADD/ADHD, auditory isuues are real, SUPER REAL. Parent- "Johnny, please go upstairs, brush your teeth and get your PJ's on". 10 minutes later Johnny has done 1 or none of what you asked. TOTALLY NORMAL. The kiddo either cannot follow multi step directions because he or she gets distracted during the task or only actually processed one request.

Give your kiddo one command/direction at a time and follow up with that one word frequently till it gets done. This is NOT Johnny's fault. It is simply how his brain works. Parent- "Johnny, please go put your PJ's on" then keep following up with just "PJ's", "PJ's"

Is tomorrow a “day off” from school still or are we starting back to homeschooling tomorrow?
Support your school while supporting your health!

Not only can Chiropractic help with spinal pain but studies show it can significantly improve immune system function. Like other medical facilities, we will remain open to support your health and well being.

HVES Talent Show is back on the stage!!

TALENT SHOW AUDITIONS

Dec. 14 K-2nd

Dec. 15 3rd-5th

After school in the music room until 3:30pm-pick up in front carline

- Email your teacher to allow permission to stay after school.

- There will be a limited number of students selected for the show this year so they must be prepared for the audition. The act does not need to be perfected, but they must show that they have a prepared act.

- Auditions will be low-pressure and only in front of a couple of adults.

-If you are using music, you must have the music at the audition.

- Music must be elementary school appropriate. Disney, classical, show tunes are good examples. Radio songs are often not appropriate. If you are not sure about a song, ask before auditions (email below).

-No lip syncing.

- No holiday music please. The show is in January.

-Students will be expected to attend 3 mandatory after-school rehearsals plus the dress rehearsal. All rehearsals are in January. Rehearsals are for practicing the act on stage, using the microphone, stage spacing, entrances and exits, performance order, etc. You must rehearse your act primarily at home as school rehearsals focus more on show logistics than on your actual act. Keep this in mind if your child is planning a group act, they must find time outside of school to get together and rehearse.

-Talent ideas: singing, dancing, comedy, piano, juggling, basketball dribbling tricks, monologue, skit, instrument, hula hoop, poetry, gymnastics. Be creative!

-Tentative date for the Talent Show is Jan. 31 at 6pm and we will have a show during the school day for students. Date to be announced.
