Charleston Scuba

Charleston Scuba

We're going diving tomorrow, yippee!!!! I love Charleston Scuba!๐Ÿ˜Ž
Greg and I had an incredibly fun day exploring the insides of the 105ft Tug and The Comanche With Charleston Scuba on Friday. Plus we collected 20 pounds of lead sinkers for the fun of it. Taking a basket next time to get the fishing line and hooks! I was too busy making sure not to get hung up inside the Comanche to take pics but Greg found a toilet and sat on it. You had to be there! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ
The spade fish were looking at dive buddy Greg like, dude, donโ€™t go down that hole! Inside the Y73. Sand dollar we left for somebody else. Lion fish sentries. Some of the best diving ever with my Charleston Scuba buddies!
Been diving with Tom and his crews since doesn't get any better. Period.
I think this qualifies as an "Old Diver".
THE BEST! Been with Tom and his crew since 1986...consider none other for your diving needs!
Last minute Christmas shopping? Get him or her a dive trip to paradise. Yes, we're going back to Isla Marisol and the best diving in Belize March 21-28, 2020. Contact or PM me for more info.
Saba 2019 - Another great trip is in the books. I will have more photos and stuff later as bandwidth permits. Had exceptional diving all week and the weather was great. The Sea & Learn activities was an added bonus!
Saturday was deep to the newer tug boat and then Comanche. Sunday was lead weight ledges. 4 spectacular dives! Visibility was 15 to 20 deep Saturday and up to 30 Sunday. Capt. Tom finished us off with a drift dive Sunday afternoon that was beyond fun. I was very fortunate to have great buddies both days. Buddy Greg and I finished off our deep specialties Saturday, yah. Thanks to my buddy Jeff Sunday, I saw my first Nurse Shark almost close enough to touch under a ledge. Beautiful gentle giant 7โ€™ or more long. She swam out and we saw her several more times on the drift. The whole weekend was fish, fish, and more fish, at least 15 species I saw. School must be back for them too because they were schooling big time, hah, hah. I had a great weekend. Safe, Happy dives everyone! Thanks Charleston Scuba.
After receiving a confirmation email that my class would occur as scheduled, I showed up for my recertification course on Sunday morning. No one was there. No one showed up. My class had been cancelled without notification. There was no phone call, no email, no sign on the door, no post on any social media outlet, etc. I called the shop as soon as they opened to discuss what happened. There was no apology for the lack of communication, only excuses. The phone lines were down on Saturday so they could not call. Everyone has cell phones now. These could have been used to call and leave a voice mail. Worse case scenario, a sign could have been hung on the door for attendees to see when they arrived early Sunday morning. Due to the lack of professionalism and lack of concern for my poor experience, I would not recommend this shop.
Two great wreck dives August 11! They always put right on the dive sight so you just follow down the anchor line and youโ€™re in the thick of a huge variety and amount of sea life. Captain Tom and company take good care of you.

It's World Octopus Day! Have you seen any octopus offshore CHS? We would love to see your pics! Check out the movie "My Octopus Teacher" to learn more about these amazing creatures๐Ÿ™

Happy #WorldOctopusDay! Octopuses come in all shapes, colors and sizes. Some live in very shallow waters while the Giant Pacific Octopus is known to live in depths down to 2000 mt.s (6.600 ft). Highly intelligent, with around 500 million neurons located in their brains and arms, octopuses have blue blood, three hearts and a doughnut-shaped brain. It's a well-known fact that octopuses have eight arms. But did you know that each arm contains its own 'mini brain'?
Which other octopus fact do you know? Tell us in the comments!
