The department is composed of a strong, dedicated group of faculty, specializing in a variety of unique areas within the field of criminal justice. We are proud to offer courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Mission: The Criminal Justice Department seeks to develop students that will positively impact Criminal Justice, Homeland Security and Intelligence Analysis within academic institutions and at local, state and federal levels. Positive impacts will occur because our students are learning in an environment where faculty are actively engaged in theorizing, researching, publishing and promoting excellence in practice as well as in the classroom.

[09/30/16]   Those who do not live in the Charleston area now have the opportunity to complete their bachelor’s in criminal justice at The Citadel 100% online. Students who have completed 24 credit hours of undergraduate study at another institution may apply to transfer those credits to The Citadel to complete their degree. Those interested in completing this program online will work with an academic advisor to discuss transfer credits and the coursework required at The Citadel.
