📢 Calling All Artists of All Mediums 📢
Applications for the upcoming The Art of Diversity exhibit are due on Monday!
.
On January 20, the College of Charleston's Arts Management Program (ARTM) and Office of Institutional Diversity (OID) held "The Art of Diversity: Creative Growth for Social Change" panel conversation featuring faculty from OID and ARTM. The overall theme of the discussion was centered around "How do artistry and an open/creative mindset help in growing to see the beauty in diversity and self-acceptance?" We are excited to announce that we have joined the efforts to take this discussion a step further!
We're sharing the call for art submissions of all mediums (paintings, photographs, musical performances, videography, dance performances, and more) to contribute to the panel discussion's overarching theme. This will be an opportunity for amateur and incoming artists along with well-seasoned artists to gain exposure and join our conversation about diversity and self-acceptance.
.
This exhibition will take place virtually in an online space and all submissions will include: your name, the title of the artwork, a description, and your social media links! We can also accept artworks anonymously.
.
📌 All those interested should submit their artwork here: http://bit.ly/AofD_submit
.
📌 Submissions are due this Monday, April 5
📌 The virtual exhibition will open on Thursday, April 22
🤔 If you have any questions, email Taylor Holloway at [email protected] or Simone Liberty at [email protected]

The government has said that women do not need votes as they are all looked after by men...how ridiculous!

It’s London, it’s 1918, there’s a dangerous flu spreading, and the country is emerging from a long war. It’s the perfect time for women to agitate for the vote! 😄 Join us in celebrating women’s voting rights as we livestream the one-act farce "How the Vote Was Won" by Cicely Hamilton and Christopher St. John.

After parliament states that women don’t need a political voice because they are all looked after by men, the women leave their jobs and homes and instead insist upon support from their nearest male relatives. Hilarity ensues as the overwhelmed men band together to demand votes for women.

October 1 & 2 LIVESTREAM @ 7:30pm. Family-friendly comedy, less than 60 min. $5 CofC students, faculty, staff and 18 & under / $8 adults, seniors, military / $18 groups of 3+
