Yesterday was our last day at 189 Rutledge. After 10 years at this location we’re definitely sad to go, but at the same time we’re excited about our new location at 342 Meeting. Pardon our tired looks and disheveled hair - we’ve been moving all day!!!

Congratulations to our pianists Michelle, Vanessa, and Lily- winners of the South Carolina Music Teachers Association state pre-college auditions! There were 9 solo recitalists in four divisions represented at the Honors Recital as winners at the University of South Carolina in Columbia in Saturday, May 18 - three of them are students of the Academy - what a success!

Many of our faculty are assisting SC public schools in music education services. We support all of our colleagues who take a stand for our students' education! THANK YOU for fighting to make a difference!

On March 3, The Charleston Academy of Music participated in the KidsFair, 31st annual exhibition, a family event for kids, at Charleston Gaillard Center. At the Academy’s booth, children and their parents had an opportunity to know more about CAM, to get a hands-on violin experience and to take part in raffle for free music lessons at the Charleston Academy of Music. The lucky raffle winners will be picked and announced tomorrow, on Thursday, March 21, at 3.00pm, live on Facebook. Stay tuned!
