Happy Earth Day!

As the instructor for the 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥/𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 program certificate at Trident Technical College, the number one question that I get is “How do I get more traffic to my Website”. What I am really being asked is “How do I get more business from my online presence”?

TTC’s Division of Continuing Education has had great success this past year starting our new Digital/ Social Media Marketing certificate program. Our students have learned a lot of valuable information that has helped them successfully navigate their business forward in this crazy world of Online Marketing. We cover it all from start to finish:

1. What your social media “𝗦𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲” should look like
2. Why you don’t just pick a domain name you like and
go with it
3. How to get your website – Should you do it yourself,
hire a web developer, or buy one
4. Get Google to tell you what people want and give it
to them – (𝓢𝓱𝓱𝓱𝓱!!!! 𝓘𝓽’𝓼 𝓪 𝓼𝓮𝓬𝓻𝓮𝓽)
5. Why SEO is so important
6. How to create “Funnels” to drive traffic directly
where you want them to go
7. 𝕰𝖒𝖆𝖎𝖑 𝕸𝖆𝖗𝖐𝖊𝖙𝖎𝖓𝖌 – Your #1 way to make market
your business online
8. What's new in FB/IG (a LOT changed in 2018!!!)
9. Social Media platforms – How to use 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤,
𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭, 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦, & 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐓𝐮𝐛𝐞 to drive traffic
10. Working with 𝑰𝒏𝒇𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒔
11. Flipping websites
12. Affiliate Marketing (#1 way to make money online)

The plan is to keep enhancing the program by adding additional information as it changes and adding valuable resources that enhance the program as we move forward and YOU CAN HELP!

We have had several students approach us with an interest in forming a 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹/𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 The purpose of this meetup is to have students, business owners, those looking to start a business online, or anyone else that may be interested, meet on a regular basis to discuss issues related to their Online Marketing campaigns. The goal is to share experiences, exchange ideas, find business leads, get educated on what is new or has changed, and gain general knowledge that they may not have had otherwise relating to their Digital Marketing & Social Media Marketing campaigns.

We will be holding our first meeting 𝟰/𝟮𝟯 (𝑻) 𝒂𝒕 6𝒑𝒎.

The plan is to meet for an hour or so or until leaves. The meetup will be held at the 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 (formerly Main Campus) on Rivers Avenue in 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟗𝟏𝟎, 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝟐𝟐𝟗.

Please make sure to bring your laptop and plenty of business cards to share. This is YOUR meeting!

Please feel free to pass the word to anyone that may need this resource. We would love to have anyone interested join us as we dive into this topic.

Oh, by the way…..did I mention the meetup is 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 to attend?
