At the Weekday School we celebrate the Early Childhood years while providing active, hands-on experiences that enhance ongoing learning and development and give your child the skills and knowledge they will need to be successful.
Established in 1950, St. Andrews Presbyterian Weekday School is a vital part of the Church’s ministry to the children and families of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and to the children and families of our Community. The purpose of St. Andrews Presbyterian Weekday School is to provide opportunities in a Christian environment, which meet the educational needs of the early childhood years — to provide the environment, the atmosphere and the experiences necessary to help each child attain his/her mental, physical, social, emotional and spiritual potential. Every child is valued as a unique and special child of God. Educating the Whole Child •Small student/teacher ratio insures opportunities for individualized instruction. •Spacious, well-equipped rooms with learning centers provide opportunities for active hands-on exploration, discovery and learning. •Developmentally appropriate practices promote optimal learning and development. •Thematic units teach language arts, math, science, social studies, music and art through a wide variety of meaningful activities and experiences. •Spiritual development takes place throughout our daily routine and is enriched with Bible Story Time in the Sanctuary weekly. •Bimonthly field trips and in-house programs enrich and expand our units of study. •Spanish instruction takes place in the classrooms. •Daily outdoor play encourages gross motor skill development and additional social interaction. Two playgrounds provide separate play areas for toddlers and our older 3’s and 4’s.

🎉Happiest of Birthdays to our last July baby, Mrs. Mandy Ryan!🎉 This school year will be Mrs. Mandy's 6th at St. Andrew's in our 5-day Threes Class, and marks 10 years for her as a preschool teacher. She is also wife to John, and mother of a 6th grader, a 12th grader and a sophmore in college! Mrs. Mandy's youngest attended 4k at St. Andrew's and during that time she, "fell in love with the welcoming environment." She feels that, "St Andrew's truly accepts each child and appreciates their individual gifts. What a wonderful place to work!" We are thankful that Mrs. Mandy recognized at St. Andrew's qualities that we see in her every day as she tenderly leads her students in growth and learning. Have a wonderful day Mandy! ❤
Happy Birthday to Mrs. Erica Farley! Mrs. Erica began substituting for us 7 years ago while her daughter attended St. Andrew's. Four years ago, she joined the staff working with Mrs. Lisa in the Tuesday/Thursday Twos class and with Mrs. Kerri on Fridays in the combined three-day Threes classes. The students often call Erica "Miss America," and we agree that she deserves a crown! Mrs. Erica says she loves "watching the students grow and learn at St. Andrew's, and her coworkers." We love you, Mrs. Erica and hope your day is fit for royalty! ❤ 👑 🎉
Today we wish a very Happy Birthday to Mrs. Bonnie Edenfield! Mrs. Bonnie has been teaching preschool for 17 years and she's been at St. Andrew's since 2008. She says her favorite things about St. Andrew's are, "the sweet kiddos and my fellow teachers who I could not survive without. They always have my back." Her fellow teachers agree that they could not do without Mrs. Bonnie's sweet friendship and support either. We love you Bonnie! Have a wonderful day! ❤ 🎂 🎉

🎉Happy Birthday to Ms. Carol!🎉 Our wonderful director has a long history with St. Andrew's, beginning with her graduation from the 5k program in 1958! After college, where she earned her Early Childhood and Elementary certification, she got married and had 2 boys. They attended St. Andrew's as well, and her youngest was 2 when, in 1983, she accepted a position here teaching a 3k class. She moved to teaching the 5k class in 1994 and a few years later took over the directorship of the school as well. This is her 36th year at St. Andrew's! Carol loves her job because, "Every day is unique, and there is never a dull moment. It's exciting to see our students learn to love learning. My favorite thing is to be there when they have a "lightbulb" moment and a concept becomes real to them. Also, my teachers are not just employees, they are my friends. It's fun to come to work!" Her teachers love to come to work too, where she has created a warm, supportive, and caring environment for teachers and students alike. Ms. Carol is the heart of St. Andrew's Weekday School. We love you, Ms. Carol!

Before teaching here, Ms. Renee taught 1st and 2nd grade. On being part of our staff, she says, "I love the families at the school! Everyone is so friendly to each other and the parent support is awesome! I enjoy working with such wonderful teachers who have become dear friends to me. Seeing how my MMO babies grow and change over the year is the greatest reward and blessing." We are truly grateful for you, Ms. Renee, and wish you a blessed new year. Happy Birthday!
