St. Andrew's Weekday School

For 70 years, the Weekday School has provided children with the skills and knowledge to be successful learners throughout life, through active, hands-on experiences that enhance learning and development.

Established in 1950, St. Andrews Presbyterian Weekday School is a vital part of the Church’s ministry to the children and families of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and to the children and families of our Community. The purpose of St. Andrews Presbyterian Weekday School is to provide opportunities in a Christian environment, which meet the educational needs of the early childhood years — to provide the environment, the atmosphere and the experiences necessary to help each child attain his/her mental, physical, social, emotional and spiritual potential. Every child is valued as a unique and special child of God. Educating the Whole Child
•Small student/teacher ratio insures opportunities for individualized instruction.
•Spacious, well-equipped rooms with learning centers provide opportunities for active hands-on exploration, discovery and learning.
•Developmentally appropriate practices promote optimal learning and development.
•Thematic units teach language arts, math, science, social studies, music and art through a wide variety of meaningful activities and experiences.
•Spiritual development takes place throughout our daily routine and is enriched with Bible Story Time in the Sanctuary weekly.
•Bimonthly field trips and in-house programs enrich and expand our units of study.
•Spanish instruction takes place in the classrooms.
•Daily outdoor play encourages gross motor skill development and additional social interaction. Two playgrounds provide separate play areas for toddlers and our older 3’s and 4’s.

About Lowcountry Orphan Relief - Lowcountry Orphan Relief

Pajama Day! Thursday will be Pajama Day for T/TH Twos and MMO. It is also the kick off for our service project of the month: Lowcountry Orphan Relief. LOR is always in need of new packages of underwear and socks in toddler through adult sizes, so we will be collecting those as well as school supplies. You may hand your donations to Carol at drop off or to your child's teacher at pick up time. We'll be collecting until February 5th. Lowcountry Orphan Relief is a non profit organization that supports children in South Carolina that have been abused, neglected or abandoned.

Registration for returning students, their siblings, and church members begins tomorrow. Forms were sent home last week. Return yours as soon as possible to get the class(es) you prefer. Registration will open to new students from the community February 4th.

Scholastic book orders went home today and are due by the 25th. You can return your order form to the school or use the link sent by email and on the school Band to order online. 📚

Last week was so much fun! Here's to a great new week. 😋 🏃 😄

Tomorrow and Wednesday are our first days back! We can't wait to start! Parents, do you have your 3 hours of free time planned out to the minute? 😉

This evening is Parent's Meet the Teacher night for M/W/F classes. We ask that only one parent attend, and bring no children. Most classes have been divided into 2 groups. Please check the welcome letter your child received to see your scheduled time.

Keep your 👀 on your mailbox! Welcome letters were mailed Wednesday! Your letters will have your specific times for parent night and open house. ❤

What a great morning seeing so many of our sweet students! Thanks for making our End of the Year Parade so much fun!
