"It is with great sorrow that I must announce that the Governor’s School of South Carolina at the College of Charleston will be suspended for this year due to the current financial climate and the severe cuts in the state allocation to the College of Charleston. We hope that financial conditions will make it possible for the Governor’s School to resume in the future, but at this time we do not know when or if this will be possible.
