[03/16/20]   Dear Westminster Family & Friends,

Tonight your Session prayerfully voted to suspend all gatherings on campus though the end of March. Sunday worship, Sunday School, Wonderful Wednesday, and all other meetings are postponed through March 31st. The Church Office will remain open.

The decision is not an easy one, as we recognize gathering as a source of comfort, especially in times of uncertainty. Yet, given the uncertainty, the decision is motivated by love for neighbor and those who are most vulnerable.

Rather than seeing the next few weeks as a time of withdrawal from each other, we intend to lean in with calls, prayers, and offers to serve. There is much we can do for each other beyond physical presence. Your deacons and staff will be reaching out to stay in touch and assess needs. If there are ways we can help (run to a store, fill a prescription, etc.) please call the church office. We will be in contact regularly through ENews, and social media - follow along for more information, ideas about prayer and worship, and creative ways to serve each other.

With much love,
Pastor Daniel

Dear Westminster Family and Friends,

We continue to monitor COVID-19, both the spread of the virus and global, national, and local responses. We are especially listening to SC DHEC and local officials as they release guidance and suggestions regarding the necessity of canceling events and activities. As of now (Friday morning), we plan to keep the regularly planned schedule for this Sunday, including morning worship, Sunday School, and evening activities and meetings. Please note:

• It is up to YOU to make wise decisions about participation. The sick or those with sickness in their homes should stay at home. Some, especially the immunocompromised, should exercise great caution in gathering with others.
• If you choose to stay home, you can still worship. We've attached some resources to guide you in personal or family worship. (Thank you Pastor Lissa for the guidance.)
• If you choose to gather at Westminster, know there will be plenty of hand sanitizer available, and we won't be shaking hands, passing the peace, or passing the offering plates. We'll also be offering special prayers for the ill, anxious, and ones in care-giving roles.

Your Session will gather for their regular meeting on Sunday evening, and additional measures will be considered as we go forward with care and the knowledge of God's good lovingkindness.

Grace and Peace,
Pastor Daniel
