Congratulations to CofC alumnus Greg Banks '94, Athletic Trainer for the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team, on the incredible World Cup victory yesterday! He is shown here holding the Copa Mundial after Sunday's match in Lyon, France. Mr. Banks has been involved in women's soccer at the highest levels for many years. While at the College, he took care of Cougar athletes as a student trainer and majored in physical education. Mr. Banks owns Competitive Edge Training in Mount Pleasant, SC. He and his wife, alumna Tara Roberts Banks '96, reside in Mount Pleasant.
Jake Epperson ’19 has plans to attend the University of Tennessee to pursue his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. He ultimately would like to incorporate the athletic training and physical therapy fields in his career by conducting rehabilitation for the athletic patient populations.
The athletic training program provided him with evaluation and rehabilitation experience that he feels has prepared him well for graduate school. Jake is excited about the athletic training field because of how rapidly it has been growing. He feels the athletic training profession is becoming more involved and more recognized as an allied health profession. #StudentSpotlight

This summer, Rachel interned at Imagine Physical Therapy as an exercise technician. She led patients through their rehabilitation plans. She saw modalities and exercise prescriptions in action that she had learned about in class. This experience taught her how to interact with different populations in the physical therapy setting and more about rehab protocols, anatomy and modality use. #StudentSpotlight

Nicole worked as an athletic training intern at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports in Florida. She attended all events held at the complex which included the NBA Juniors Championship, AUU National Championships for volleyball, wrestling and basketball, and ICC Futures Soccer Championship.
She enjoyed putting the knowledge and skills she had learned at #cofc into practice. Nicole learned the importance of networking and made many connections with young athletic training professionals. #StudentSpotlight #ehhpsummer @ ESPN Wide World of Sports
