Please join us tomorrow night at Stern Student Center Room 205 for the September meeting of the Graduate Student Council. We will be meeting from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm (or until discussion of new business is finished). Food is being provided.
This is an exciting time here at The College and The Graduate School. In addition to the upcoming 250th Anniversary Celebration of The College throughout 2020, President Hsu has begun the process for a Strategic Planning Initiate to set the course for the future of The College and The Graduate School. If you have any ideas on how to improve your and your peers' experiences here at The Graduate School please come be a part of the discussion. The more perspectives and ideas we hear, the better we know the issues and solutions that we, the Executive Board, should focus our efforts.
We also invite you to become more active than being just a part of the discussion. Our standing committees for the year are still accepting volunteers. As a reminder, if you are a Delegate to the Graduate Student Council for your sub-organization, you must participate on one of these committees to keep your organization in good standing and able to receive funding from the GSA. If you are not a Delegate but would like to find out more on how you can be involved with our standing committees (the Appropriations Committee, the Graduate Representation Committee, the Community Outreach Committee, the Social Committee, and/or the Judiciary Committee), please join us as well. We know that the solutions to many of the issues we face heading into the future will need the support and efforts of our graduate student community at large. We ask you to be a part of that effort.
A copy of the minutes from the August meeting can also be found on the CougarConnect page for GSA located at https://cougarconnect.cofc.edu/organization/gsa. Our contact information can also be found on this page.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow evening,
The Executive Board of the Graduate Student Association
