The Citadel Financial Management Association (FMA) Chapter was established in 2012 by the formerly known Finance & Investment Club, a student-run organization committed to learning about the world of finance.

Mission: The Citadel FMA is committed to educating ourselves and others about concepts relevant to our financial futures via first-hand experiences with financial investments and interactions with professionals in the industry. By achieving our mission, we will effectively lead students to transition themselves from school and into the professional business environment.

Talent Search

It is not too late to sign up for the Bloomberg Aptitude Test which will take place tonight at 1800 in Bond 262. The BAT is a 2-hour multiple-choice exam designed to assess aptitude for business and finance. Scores are entered anonymously into our BAT database where over 20,000 top firms can search for internship and full-time candidates.

[09/20/13]   The 2013-2014 Virtual Stock Exchange Competition begins today. The winner will be announced in April.

Congratulations to Jordan M Norwood for winning the 2013 Virtual Stock Exchange Competition. Jordan is ranked #1 of 30 contestants for highest portfolio net worth. Each entrant began with $100,000 virtual USD in September 2012. Jordan's portfolio earned 27.07% overall returns.

[04/05/13]   The Citadel FMA is at the Global Asset Management Education III forum in NYC this week, meeting alumni in banking and learning about our economy. Today we toured JPMorgan and hung out on the trading floor for thirty minutes! We got to see block deals of +100,000 volume executed right in front of us of +$30 million deals! Thanks to The Citadel School of Business Administration for sending us up here!

[03/06/13]   "On March 20, 1843, the first Cadets reported to The Citadel on Marion Square. This date is celebrated today as Corps Day the official anniversary of the formation of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets."

Did you know? Until 1916, the only available academic majors were civil engineering, the sciences or a literary course. Business Administration was added as an elective course in 1924, followed by other electives that currently shape the academic environment as majors at our school.

Cadets will be enjoying dinner together for Corp Day this Thursday, so FMA will not be meeting.
