Bringing Healing to Traumatized Youth.

We are a non-profit organization that uses artistic expression, music and trauma-based curriculum to help bring healing to traumatized youth.

Mission: We exist to reach out and help bring healing and hope to traumatized youth.

Operating as usual

Locally, we are working on mask painting (since this is Halloween week!) where the youth learn how to identify their inner and outer worlds. On the outside of their mask, they paint what they show the world. On the inside, they write or collage words that portray what's going on internally. Sometimes, the outer and inner worlds match, sometimes they don't! Here are just a few samples (the inside of the masks will not be shown for privacy reasons).

Invest in Children

We are a non-profit organization that uses artistic expression, music and trauma-based curriculum to help bring healing to traumatized youth. Welcome and thank you for visiting! Invest In Children Global exists to bring healing and hope to war-torn and traumatized youth. We develop and host programs that use trauma focused curriculum, as well as music and artistic expression programs to bring healing and hope to traumatized adolescents. We also educate volunteers, teachers, organizations and their staff about the damaging effects of trauma and post-traumatic stress on the brain. We invite you to partner with us as we reach out to and encourage this next generation of young people. Anything that you can do for the youth is greatly appreciated. Check out our page and website, donate supplies that we need for camp activities that we do for our kids. Any way that you can get involved could be a step to impacting one of their lives in a huge way.

[09/19/17]   We are getting ready for our Fall Greece trip. Looking forward to working kids in Thessaloniki and Athens! #greece #thessaloniki #athens

This is from our workshop in Athens. We cannot post pictures of the kids due to security reasons. These are some of the activities we did with them. The necklaces were an activity we did where they decorated the front and wrote their character strength on the back.
The drawing activity shows being thrown in a hole as a victim...and then using your character strengths to become a survivor/thriver. It was very successful and we love the kids. #refugees #syrianrefugees

Bosco Ringtho Needs Brain Surgery

Our dear Bosco, you will be sorely missed and forever remembered as one of the best men we have ever known. May you rest in peace, soar with the angels and wait for us until we meet again.
Your life was an example of pure love, happiness and faith. You never grew weary, you were always willing to help others and brought thousands of people joy over the years. I, for one, will NEVER forget our many trips together, teaching you how to play guitar and jamming to Bob Marley and Hillsong CDs over and over on the road to Gulu.
We love you. God rest your soul.

Our trip to Athens to work with refugee kids was amazing! Thank you so much to Praksis and Panos!! We didn't take many kid face pics just to protect the identities of the kids. We went to 3 care houses that Praksis runs, 1 for girls and 2 for guys. We also went to an elementary school and did games with 100 kids. The school is where Ergo (an NGO we met with during our spring trip) has been working with a second grade class. It was really a great trip and we are so looking forward to returning!
