Staff at Chantilly Governor’s STEM Academy are showing their support for Breast Cancer Awareness by participating in the annual “Pink Out” sponsored by their very own HOSA-Future Health Professionals Chapter.

Kenny Brown, the Auto Collision Teacher was recognized with former student of Pohanka Collision Center for their partnership and providing students with high-value and relevant experiences inside and outside of the classroom.

Karyn Jones, an Entrepreneurship teacher at Chantilly HS and Chantilly Academy receives award from the Foundation for Applied and Technical Education (FATE) Board last night at the 5th Annual Dinner and Awards Evening to recognize schools and business and partners. The award was for the Entrepreneurship Program of the Year! Karyn has implemented her successful Market Days, the Purple Express, and her newest venture, the Spirit Box—all truly relevant entrepreneurial student-led endeavors—and all successful ventures!

Last night, Chantilly Academy held a senior awards dinner for Girls Exploring Engineering Club. All eight graduating seniors that were part of the club will be attending a university to pursue Engineering. The seniors will be attending the following universities:

University of Virginia: 1 student
George Mason University: 1 student
Virginia Commonwealth University: 1 student
Northern Virginia Community College/Transfer to VT: 1 student

FCPS Recruitment Specialists presented to our Teachers for Tomorrow students on teaching in FCPS. The students got the opportunity to hear first hand the important things to focus on in college so that they can return to our schools as outstanding teachers.

Chantilly Academy's AFJROTC Unit (VA-20012) has been honored as a Distinguished Unit Award recipient. “These awards recognize the personal growth and accomplishments of the cadets, contributions of the instructors as mentors, and the support of the school and local community. …these units truly represent the best of our 889 AFJROTC and NDCC units worldwide. The cadets, instructors, and schools are to be commended for earning their award.”

The Distinguished Unit Award was presented to 137 of the 889 AFJROTC units. That places Chantilly Academy in the Top 15% of AFJROTC units worldwide.

Chantilly Academy Career and Counseling staff held a stress workshop for students in preparation for AP, SOL, and Certification exams. Students got to participate in a variety of activities including making thier own stress ball, coloring, and playing with kinetic sand. Each students left with tips on dealing with stress and anxiety.

CyberPatriot Awards

The Future Educators Association National Conference was held April 23rd – 25th at the Crystal City Hyatt in Arlington, VA. It was an amazing conference with many inspiring events for current and future educators! The following students attending the conference competed in the following events:
